a really fine film. Winner of the Palm D'or at the Cannes film festival, the story of the late 60-s-70s serial killer in California, told in an interesting style by showing the profound effect the case had on those associated with it, rather than in a more conventional fashion

Slightly spoilt by the over-rated presence of Robert Downey Jnr in the cast list but with a good performance by Jake Gyllenhal (Brokeback Mountain) in the lead role

Recommend it highly

doesnt  jake gyllenhal  prefer a role of supproting actor instead of a leading role

in brockback he enjoyed being just behind the lead man

I saw it on Sunday and enjoyed it immensely, as did Mrs Sheriff (unusual for us to both agree on a film!)

Definitely recommended.
