I didn't like the reclining lady either.
I don't like the connection between Blonde poker and glamour models or naked silouettes.  As I say there's plenty of other places we can go for that.
I don't mind Blondite of the month though. just not Blonde of the month

Agree 100% here.

I'll have a proper look at the design later and see what I think.

Have to agree with the above, we all know sex sells but do we really need to go down that route ? It cheapens the site and the values that I think Blonde stands for. We need somthing with universal appeal that says in an image what this site is about. Does Blonde have a mission statement or a Vision statement ? Somthing that says when all is said and done what we want it to be. IF we had this an image may be easier to come up with . I'll get me thinking cap on Afro. The rest looks great tho fresh and sleek.

If sexy gets more members then I'm actually 100% behind it. I dont mean sex - I mean sexy. That was kind of why/how we came up with the current logo in the first place. It wasn't to shock, it was for business.

If it isn't helping us in the numbers game then I think it should be a logo related to DC. Like the character "El Blondie" or something. (As long as Clint Eastwood or Sergio Leone don't take legal action!)

The rest of the site looks good though.

I think it's more likely to drive people away than attract them if i'm honest.

I think it looks fine maybe a bit busy, however I do realise the links pay there way.
I do prefer the current Blonde Poker Logo just thinking about future merchadising
a good logo on a  Shirt /Cap etc.

regards

M

Well, it's much, much better. the logo looks like some 50s kitsch, so why not go the whole hog and make that obvious, stewardess uniform cap? I like the current logo, it's dramatic, eye-catching and will bring in more of the target audience than it will exclude. It's a bit racy but I challenge anyone to honestly say they feel it would put a gambler off. The new logo image goes well wth the typography but has little else to recommend it in comparison (in my view).

I think the body copy font is too round and am not massively keen on the sub-heads either from what I can see. I don't think it's close enough to some of the reversed out headers but no doubt your designer disagrees or would make some smart remark about negative space.

I do like the rest of the page structure, espec. the editors at the foot of the page and the band of 'favoured' poker rooms just above. Never understood why the profiles are at the top other than as a 'reward' to the staff.

Hope this helps.

I like the new design. Looks 10 x more professional.

I can understand why people might dislike the current logo, but I think that accusing the latest idea of sexism is oversensitive. It's just blonde hair in the end, nothing provocative or oppressive.

Having said that however, I do like the way TheBaron's going. If I understand him correctly, was he suggesting a little cartoon of El Blondie as the logo. Now that could be fun, yet, if done correctly, still look cool.

 thumbs up

How about one of Tikay?  Cheesy

I agree with Sloppy,   Wink however I do feel it needs to be bi lingual so as the welsh speakers understand it , El blondie and me   thumbs up

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Tony,

personal views are:

1. If I was you I would put the log in to the forum on the front page, so that people did not go direct to the forum, but went through the front page instead. Whenever I have seen anyone log onto BP I notice that they have the direct link to the forum and "log in forever" selected.

2. I don't think the logo works. The fonts look old fashioned and its plain. I would go for a sharper image using only capitals for the B and P to emphasise both these words. I would also not use white in the logo as this can cause problems with transferring the logo onto other formats. I would try and intergrate a poker image into the logo as a backdrop.

3. I would also be careful of the advertising content overbearing the editorial contact. for example, flashing banners and too much space allocated to advertising, although I appeciate revenue is important.

4. Overall, it looks mouch more professional that the current from page. I think this site already has the respect and credibility of the UK poker community, so I don't think "sexier" is as necessary as "better"

Just personal views, I'm sure everyones comments will creat the best look. Whatever it looked like, I'd still use it. Cheers Rob
