Indeed. It also seems to me that they haven't tested the software properly.

Also I like the idea of having it done between hands - If it happened to everyone every 30 minutes whilst not in a hand it should cause minimal disruption and be just as effective against bots.

I think it is a disgrace that they have implemented this straight away with no chance for customers to get used to it. I feel they should have announcedit first and give people an option to try them out for a month or so (e.g. go to this web page and practice). Then put it on the site for a month with no punishment if you get it wrong, just a notice. Then after that put the full system live.

To have it come up and distract you in the middle of the hand is bad enough, to not be expecting it worse and to lose money because of it is hideous.

Either party really don't care about their customers or they have found they have a hige problem with bots.

You have to go into the file system and start messing around with stuff!??

that's **** ridiculous.

A bug in their code has cost you money. This is just the sort of thing online poker companies are getting away with all the time, they have so many users they don't give a muffty about individual cases. Don't stand for this snoops.

In fact post where I should send an email, and i'll add my support.

Not now, until you have a satisfactory reply

I've just sent the following email to Party Poker. I didn't realise that the flop was suited, so, ironically, they may have saved me money. I could have also doubled up though. Anyhow, that's not the point.

---------------

Hi.

I'm not too happy about this situation and I don't feel staisfied by the response I received.

Why should I lose money because you are testing for bots? I have no problem with bot testing and typing in the code, but if it ruins my hand, then it is out of order. Popping up in the middle of an important hand is one thing, but for my actions to be unavailable to me when I returned and me being helpless to prevent a timeout is, in my opinion, totally unacceptable. I did NOT type in the wrong code and I did NOT fail do complete the process in the allotted time. I have done nothing wrong.

It feels like I am being punished financially for a bug in your software. I fully expect this matter to be investigated further.

I have pasted the hand history in below. It says that I didn't respond because I was disconnected. However, I was playing on another table at exactly the same time, so I definitely did NOT have any connection problems.

Of course, there is no guarantee that I would have won the hand, but I think you'd agree that I ought to have the option of making somesort of decision regarding my play.

sincerely,

snoopy1239 (A.Goulding)

ps. I have also pasted in the previous emails as I initially contacted you from a different address.

This is one of the worst responses I have ever received from an online poker site.

Has anyone got any suggestions?
