Okay. I've just come off the phone with Party Poker.
What a waste of 30 minutes that was!
1st off, neither the chap I spoke to or his supervisor seemed to have a frim grasp of the English language. Both were clearly non-Western and everything I said had to be repeated.
Both spoke along the same sort of lines.
I can't tell you how many times I heard one of them go through a clearly prepared speech about their security measures. Almost everything they said sounded like it was being read from an auto-cue. I was pulling my hair out! On countless occassions I was forced to interrupt and inform them that I understood that they were testing for bots. 2 minutes later, they tell me again!
After going through the pain of giving out every detail I had, they came back and told me that I was disconnected. Great. It says that on my hand history. I already know what that says.
I was able to speak on the chat facility and I was playing 3 other tables that were working fine. I've played Party Poker on a daily basis for a while now, and I haven't experienced 1 single disconnection. Yet, straight after I receive one of these security measures, during an important hand might I add, I am supposedly disconnected. Bit of a coincidence if you ask me.
I was offered $10 on numerous occasions. Hmm. I declined, more than once. And I had to decline repeatedly. The supervisor even put this money into my account and I had to keep asking him to remove it.
After the umpteen time of going over what I experienced after completing the security measure, I was told yet another story that was to be repeated over and over again.
"If you type in the correct code you will be able to return to your game."
I DID type in the correct code. In fact, I made sure I typed in the correct code because I had AK and had called a raise.
After about the 10th time (no joke) of being told this, it suddenly changed to "You need to type in the number as quickly as possible". Hmm. So not within the allotted time then? I told him that I typed in the code quickly, as I didn't want to miss out on the hand that I was involved in. He just wasn't listening to me.
He eventually began to get impatient. He said, "What do you expect me to with this situation?" I informed him that, through no fault of my own, I had suffered financially and potentially missed out on winning a big pot. He ignored this and went on to tell me that I need to ring up straight after the event. I emailed staight after, but obviously this isn't good enough. Strangely, I didn't fancy ringing Party Poker from my mobile.
Amusingly, he even said at one point that I should be happy because I had profited in the session.
Okay. I give up on this one now. Just not worth it anymore. I may have got nowhere, but at least I declined the $10 offer and hopefully I have gone some way to show how shoddy their customer service is. If you need proof of that then just have a butchers at that condescending and patronsing email they sent me earlier.
I despair. WOOF!
SNOPPY STILL ANGRY!
but always smiling...

ps. If I ever hear the words 'I understand your situation' again, I will scream. Like a baby!
