my interest in declaring this to you is purely altruistic!

Hey snoop! - any chance of changing the name of this thread to 'angry snoopy' rather than 'angry snoppy'? - its playing with my perfectionist's nerve!

thanks!  Grin

Sounds to me like both your emails and telephone calls are just being redirected to a call centre in India (the names on the email are a clue) where they have no idea about poker and they just have a set script to read from.

If i were you i'd send them a copy of this thread telling them that unless you receive a satisfactory answer from them within 24 hours that every member of the site will boycott their site. (granted it probably doesnt affect their overall profit margins but once bad publicity begins to spread.........)

Thankfully i dont play there, i only play on pokerstars and i've never known anything like that to happen with their software - nor have i ever had any problems with them or their support team. (in fact a few months ago i emailed them twice to do with their blind structure and their WCOOP set-up for the $2500 main event - not only did they reply to my email but they actually changed the blind structure of their multi table tournaments to incorporate extra levels in EVERY tournament and changed the structure of the main event of the WCOOP to give everyone starting stacks of $5000 instead of $2500. To me, that is good customer support!!)

Wow, what a terrible tale.

Did you send them this thread?

The solution is clear. Don't play Party Poker.

In any unregulated business, there will always be some shysters.

No, I didn't send this thread and I didn't get it sorted. I don't think it would have made the slightest bit of difference. They're just too big these days.

It's like talking to a brick wall. They simply don't listen to what you say, It's bizarre on the phone. You explain the problem, and they just say something completely irrelevant. Totally infuriating.

Party's support centre is in India, but that in itself is not the problem. Party is a marketing operation that happens to to provide poker services but have no interest, other than purely financial, in their products or their customers.

The support staff are pathetically badly trained. All they are able (allowed?) to do is send standard responses. They are (in)famous for being absolutely and totally useless. Party simply do not care. They have by far the largest market share and are vastly profitable. Basically, they couldn't give a flying one if every member of Blonde refused to play there.

It is my sincere hope that they get their just rewards and disappear as quickly as they rose. They are on a very select list of companies that, in my view, deserve to go bust......along with AOL and Vodaphone and (........exit 12barblues, ranting as he disappears into the distance..........)

A finite amount of money goes into the poker economy, it is bandied about between the players at the tables. The site wants as much of it as possible. Good players who win money take it from the site. If they weren't there, the site would eventually get it all. When you win money off the fish, that's money that would eventually get into the websites coffers if the fish played between themselves while gradually going bust to the rake.

They're not going to bend over backwards for your buisness, even though you play every day and pay bucket loads of rake. Next time you don't get any answer from PartyPoker support (or some other site), take it as a compliment.

That's an interesting post Tank. I've never looked at it like that. I've always assumed they valued the money I pay in fees every day. I'll be a pondering that theory.

I've pondeded Tank's theory and I think I'ts pants! (I can say that, he's my mate)

It dosen't matter if a fish wins money from a fish or a good player wins money from a fish, both players are going to continue to play and pay the rake
