Just don't shove your big stack all-in blind.

Getting back to business, I HAVE to use 4 colour decks Online these days, & it's a real struggle for me "live", especially in dimly lit Venues. I can see the difference between Red & Black, but to see the difference betwen hearts & diamonds, or clubs & spades, I need to be in Seat 4, 5 or 6. I bet a flush draw last night on a padooki turn.....
Speaking of which this would be a tiny complaint about the APAT Dublin event, i'm guessing it wasn't the fault of the APAT rather than the cardroom but the numbers on the cards were so big that i found i had to lift the card right up off the table to see the suit underneath the number
Is there another way of seeing one's hole cards? I put them under my nose, better to see them.
Seriously, I was not aware of that problem, sorry. Maybe in 2008, APAT should insist on cards of a certain specification. Venues now give us pretty much everything we ask for, including our own Rules, timings, structures, everything, as we fill every Venue we go to, so I'm sure that's possible.
This is probably getting wayyy off topic, but I was wondering why APAT dont comission their own chips. I had a slight grumble about the quality of chips being used in Dublin - they were very light and thin, meaning that I kept dropping them all over the place when I was confidently trying to push them into a pot.
I guess there is a natural problem, though of trying to carry upwards of 20,000 chips from venue to venue....

Good idea Laz, & one we'll certainly give some thought to.

They weren't great in Cardiff either - as many of the chips had random numbers on them (3, 7, 5) which wasn't ideal.
I did like the brown ones in Ireland though - they looked like chocolate coins. Brendan was tempted to eat his...

Nope, not yet.
Apparantly it's on the list of features to be added, but new dev work has seemed to be a bit slow of late.
