I have, for some time now, been fascinated by the similarities between Tony Kendall and the legendary character Obi Wan Kenobi.

 It may be the drink.

I have to get on the road, to the Sky Staff Tourney in London tonight (which I intend to win) so I'll deal with Mr Vic tomorrow.

BE AFRAID.

Tonight, I'll move all-in with pocket fours.

May the fours be with me.

I thought that was rather good. By my standards,

How did you do in the tournament? Did you get any help from the poker experts? Or did you play your hand solo?

I think I was 4th of 28, for a massive £30. So got my entry fee back. That just leaves the cost of the return train journey to London, Station Car Park & a night in a Hotel as my defecit, so I played a SNG to recoup my exs. Went out first hand when my squueeze play with 2-2 got called in two spots but hit the set, & got trumped by TWO over-sets - 3's & 9's!

Decent line-up - Kara Scott, Dr Tom Sambrook, Nick Wealthall, Johnny Gould, Simon "Suffolk Fours" Young, Norman Pace, Bev Pace, Miami Vic, (The God of all things in Feltham, Staines & bits of Colnbrook), Lord Ward, Skalie & Mrs Skalie, plus assorted Producers, Assistant Producers, Floor Managers in silly hats, & Cameramen & women.

Great fun. Gotta be said, they do look after "the Team" incredibly well, we had a lovely buffet and a tab at the Bar. Can't be bad. I crawled out of bed at 6am & was on the 6.25 back to Derbyshire. Brekkie on the train - sheer decadence.
