What was Phil Thompson going on about a while ago saying Enrique was a done deal, sure looks like it, clown. Kind of wish it had've been true as he clearly wants to go so no point losing him on a free next year. Doesn't seem like any of the top 6 are interested though so I can see that happening or him going abroad.

Interesting. Wonder if his assists stats will improve now he's got Carroll and Suarez to aim at. One thing that is often said about him is his overall fitness and that he misses very few games through injury.

As someone who was not that keen on signing him, I'm slowly coming round to the idea that he might actually prove to be a bargain.

Reading fan - he's excellent and I'm gutted to see him go but I'm not sure he's top 4 material. Would do a good job at a mid table team a la Sidwell, Kitson, Shorey, Doyle etc.

Him and Kevin Doyle cost us a combined £117,500. Best transfer deal ever?

Would you swap him for Ngog?

From what I've seen of him, nope. Tries hard but usually only worries those sitting in row Z.

OK, so Long must be decent then.  Ngog would do an excellent job in the Championship or even with quite a few Premier league clubs (imo).

"The government has been ordered to make public documents revealing discussions which the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher held about the 1989 Hillsborough stadium disaster, where 96 Liverpool fans were killed and for which the police were later blamed.

The Information Commissioner has now ruled that releasing the files would be in the public interest."

Bradford boss Peter Jackson insists a new goalkeeper is his top priority and is set to bring in Liverpool's Martin Hansen.

Hansen is poised to join Bradford City on loan, reports Skysports.com.

The Danish custodian, who joined Liverpool from Brondby in 2006, is well down the pecking order at Anfield with Pepe Reina, Alexander Doni and Brad Jones all ahead of him in Kenny Dalglish's plans.

The Greek centre-back skippers a youthful-looking Reds XI, though Andy Carroll and Joe Cole start in attack at the Turk Telekom Arena.

The Liverpool team in full: Doni, Insua, Flanagan, Kyrgiakos, Kelly, Robinson, Degen, Shelvey, Poulsen, Cole, Carroll. Subs: Jones, Wisdom, Ayala, Spearing, Coady, Kuyt, Aquilani.

They did some fitness assessment last week, and Kuyt and Mereiles came top, with Kyrgiakos coming last.  Don't know if that means much, but interesting nevertheless.

A strange line-up, but glad to see Kelly at centre-back with Flanagan and Robinson taking the full-back positions.  Or are they?  Where the hell are Degen and Insua playing?
