The match of the tennis season.  The unbeatable Federer suddenly becomes human and beatable against Nadal on clay.

Nadal won last time in a cracking final.  Is Federer going to beat his clay-court nemesis, or is Nadal just too strong for him on his favourite surface?  Will he get his hat-trick of titles against Federer, or will Federer win on course to a Grand Slam?

Answers on a postcard...

...and Federer is the ultimate tennis player.  Which is why this match is such a brilliant clash.  On any other surface, Federer would be a huge favourite.  But on clay it's Nadal who has proven to be the best.

The Fed Express beat Nadal last time they played on clay in Hamburg a few weeks ago.  I believe it was the first time he has beaten Nadal on clay but it's was a very significant match.  This final is going to be a cracker and could well see Rog take the French Open for the first time.

Really looking forward to it myself

They're both bloody awesome!

Federer is probably the best male tennis player of all time (arguably), and Nadal seems to own the French Open.

Funnily enough, Roddick is on Jonathan Ross this evening, and how gutted must he be to have come up against Federer?  If Federer wasn't around, Roddick would have been world No.1 for quite a while and would have won several grand slam tournaments.

yeah...I actually heard him say that on some other show..he was quite phylosophical about it though ..Not a lot you can do when a guy like Federer shows up. I know nadal is a pretty OK (ok maybe quite decent Wink player but Federer is different class even to him.

I wish we would stop seeing Federers bird every few seconds,  I have seen more of her in the last few minutes than the actual match.   Typical European camera men ,  they love showing the reaction of the crowd for some reason

Yep.   I hope they don't bring in the Ghost style camera work for Wimbledon .  I keep seeing two Nadals and Federers bird all at the same time,  I keep thinking my lunchtime non alcoholic becks beer is doing something to my eyesight

I like the ghost cammera work it gives a different dimension, but should be used sparingly.
