I had planned to goto Vegas on 23rd June till 5th July, I checked the flights - ok I booked the Hotel, then went to book the flights and they had DOUBLED in price, so now I arrive a day earlier on the 22nd at around 11pm.
Here is where I have a problem, the hotel is fully booked.
Would anyone be in Vegas on 22nd that wouldnt mind me "borrowing" their bathroom, somewhere to sleep and to store my suitcase?
Cheers

your hotel will be happy to store your suitcase and allow you to have a shower somewhere if you explain you are going to go play the tables etc until your room is ready. They wont want you to go to another hotel and you will probably find they find you a room even though they are "fully booked"

most airline sites remember your ip address so thats why they double the price cause they know you are back and interested. try another pc to book them and ill bet the price goes down again.........

Good point Mad, I was not aware this happens, but makes sense. Incidently I got the same price, but for a day earlier.

The most insidious of rules are those that aren't rules at all. They are the limitations that we invent for ourselves

Booked with American Airlines. Flew with them to Reno a couple of years back and found them alot better than virgin. Only downside is a 5hr stop over in Miami Incedently, the flight I was origionally going to book, on 23rd is now back on the website at the same price as I first saw it £330+tax

I'm 99% sure that airlines don't price discriminate against individual IP address' by the number of times they check flights, but they will increase on the number of times the flight as a whole is checked.
The most likely reason is a block booking by a travel agents, pushing the remaining seats up, then when agents return seats the price goes back down.
