today was awesome she looked every bit a racing greyhound. cassie walked to the traps like s racing greyhound and ran like one as well.

rookies face when he see that for the first time she hadnt missed the break was a picture.

kev you must get there next monday. the day cassie grades in and the day we unleash the monster for his first official trial!

just checked the stats on the dog that beat "cassie" today, well a bitch actually a seasoned performer 3 months away from her 4th birthday "tullymurray opera" has ran 68 races winning 12 of them the majority of which were at portsmouth.
She has won A5 at portsmouth and her last win was an A6 at oxford in november running out an easy winner of an A6.

so all in all not a bad run from "cassie" drawn in reverse boxes she would of defo got closer to the trial winner and occording to the trainer there plenty more left in the locker.

I said to Rooks at the last trial that Cassie is a railer, I reckon she will be much more comfortable in the red or blue ... If her trapping is getting better all the better.

she couldnt trap much worse than she had lol!

i must admit after seeing her trap a lot better then turning off the 2nd bend roughly 3 lengths behind i was (at the time) a little diappointed that she didnt make some inroads in the second half of the trial on the winner but they stayed roughly the same difference apart to the line after cassie lost her action slightly down the far side.
looking at the winners form he isn't a stopper winning most of her races from off the pace so for cassie to keep the distance the same from halfway shows she will stay. also she was closing in again on the winner at the pick up which again is encouraging seeing as the winner doesn't stop.

in time a tight 450 like oxford might be to short for "cassie" but obviously if she can improve again on her trapping who knows.

agree kev she is showing signs of being a railer, keeping rails round the bends and drifting to middle as she enters the straights so i to think T2 will suit her.
