Well, she won her trial. BUT, did 3 spots outside of grading, sigh.

She missed break but paced up and was very brave at the first for once, and pushed her way into the rails, she then ran away and went on to win by a length and a quarter. She had bad trouble at the first which cost her grading really.

Least she went over the line 1st! haha.

must have been a thrill to see her win it!

does she get unlimited attempts to grade? or does she has to be a certain age?

If it is immanent that she will be qualifying they will give her a chance or two more. Mick is going to have a word with the greyhound manager today to ask a couple Q's. Will update if any more comes of it tbh.

what a mixed emotion of a day.
fantastic to see cassie finally cross the line in front but soured as i glanced at my stopwatch to see that she probably had not gone fast enough to grade. For the first time she actually went through with it at the first bend instead of easing behind another dog. Missed the break a little to which looks like it ultimatly cost her.

still not heard from mick, he was to chat to the racing manager to see if a bit of leniency could be used as she has been so close a few times now. so you never know.

chatting to mick afterwards we were given the impression that he is defo holding a little bit back with cassie hoping she will just grade so that she starts in as low a grade as possible so she can learn and work her way up through the grades rather than thrown in the deepend.

rodney trialed at the schooling track on sunday. he was put through the traps 9 or 10 times and when finally locked away he did not turn which is great news. he was though very slowly away, absolutely strolled out apparently and his time of 16.15 was nearly half a second outside his last run round there almost 3 months ago. hopefully he will grasp the trapping mullarky next sunday where he will be schooled again.
