gl with that m8, but watch out with property developement over there, i hear the is a law something along the lines of even when you buy the land and develop it the previous owner can still take it back, not 100 percent about the actual law tho. definetly check it out before you buy any land

agreed, looked into it as well but scared off  by obscure  deeds etc.

agree with ur  sentiment tho sofa, got a place in portugal ready  for a not too far off day  hopefullty........

sinking ships, rats 1st or so ive heard

thnx for tips but i have familly out there and they love it,
and the property game>>>stay away from the north
im not being funny but isnt it better to look out in the morning and see the sea and nice and hot?
this country has allways got something bad in the news,,.,.,i never see anything nice.,.,you mark my words give this country 5-10 years and it will be a crack haven like the states.,.,,.i do hope not though.,.,.,
me and my familly just think it would be a nice change we are selling up everything sticking the money in the bank and gonna rent for a year and watch the property game then jump hopefully.,.,.,lol.,.,.,

and given that most street dealers need to obscure their identities-what an outlet for sunglasses.

LOL, quality

This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.

Good luck James, send us a postcard.

I think if you are so minded to have a change of lifestyle then you should go and do. No regrets and no need for reasons. Are there things wrong in the UK? Almost certainly. Are there things wrong in almost every country? Almost certainly.
Does it matter? Not really. It all comes down to how you feel at any given moment in time.

So I say the best of luck to you and the family

That's the problem though.  He lives in Wales...

thanx all for your very kind words.,.,.,
but i really do think its a better way of life,my parents and sister moved there about 8 months ago and they love it,.,.,and im one of these guys if you never try.,.,you never know.,.,
im thinking of buying a nice motor cruiser and maybee doing boat trips or just chilling for a few months and getting into the property game.,.,.,.,i may even start importing sofas.,.,
all my life i have been dependant on the weather in this country for my business
when i had a fruit barrow in the middle of cardiff town center it was allways looking at the weather/then flower barrow too........then a massive sofa showroom.,.,i allways found that if it rained on a weekend nobody would go out...so still all on weather.,.,and now obviously sunglasses,.,.,and i really think this country is slipping away.,,.its allways vat,tax,insurance.,.,.,we both think that there are more opertunitys out there as people seem happier and more friendly,.,.,i think this country has a lot of S.A.D. syndrome about it and people dont even know they got it.,.,.,.,
i allways say if you dont do it now you never will.,.so were gonna try it.,.,
whats the worst can happen ?we sell everything put the money in the bank.,.,if we dont like it we can come back and buy somewhere else.,.i got a funny feeling that the property market here is gonna fall anyway.,so to be honest i think its a good time to sell.,.,i just got a feeling,.,and i normally go with my feelings.,.,.

You may have a point.  The UK is certainly going downhill fast.
