Something for the weekend?

Years ago, that was a euphanism, usually used by Barbers, but that's not what I mean!
Anyway, what you up to this weekend? Nice Tourney somewhere, watching cricket, going out with the kids, a date, Fathers Day Duties?
I'm trying to decide between the Super-Six at Bolton (nice comp, but pricey, & "short-handed" is hardly my strength) or a really cracking & well structured £200 Jobbie in Newcastle. I seem to do better in smaller fields (fancy that!), & frequent little cashes keep the Bankroll ticking over. Decisions, decisions....

I am absolutely itching to go play live this weekend, I much prefer live to internet, but will have to settle for the odd internet game when i catch the time as have Reece staying for a week, I really can't choose my games i have to make sure i am free to see to his cares. I love the live updates when i am in this situation as it keeps in intouch with poker so hoping we have a live feed from Bolton?...If I was free it would be Newcastle for me i think.

Sorry Maureen, no Live Update this weekend. We just decided to take a break this week, we've barely recovered from last weekend's hoohah.

I,m going out with "she who must be obeyed" tonight. Tomorrow we are going to a small party on a barge moored near Chelsea bridge. Sunday weather permitting take my boy to play golf / pitch and putt he's ten.
It's been a funny week as he has had a week away with his school. I really miss him. My daughter is doing her exams. She is sixteen. She has to work hard for anything she gets as not a natural. Add the fact that I have noticed lots of young chaps calling at the door and my blood pressure is not good. I try to give them the evil eye but I suppose it's life.
On a poker front I really feel I have got my game back. I had only played in London this year but over the last two weeks went to Walsall and Bournemouth. Went deep in Walsall before exiting two away from the money. Last night in Bournemouth again finished three away.
As for where to play the weekend. I have never been to Boltonand no nothing about the place. Bournemouth should be good fun and their is the added advantage of the night spots and retirement homes for Tikay. Newcastle might be wet but a night out on the "Toon" should be fun. Bring an interpeter. Is the ship still parked under the bridge. I remember falling down the stairs once. They have the strangest thing going on up their. Lots of queues to get into places. Even when the weather is rubbish girls will wear little or nothing. Their is a god. Ah I remember it well from my years in Durham.

Stuck in front of the pc tonight as usual and hoping for good weather for the rest of the weekend to chill in the garden, play with the wee one and take my dog for a walk.
Might even fork out the $50 for the live feed and hopefully watch Stuart Fox win a bracelet (unless anyone knows a cheaper option
)

Off to look at some motor homes then probably offer to assist in Nun's twiddling. Oh and a few SnGs as and when I can.

Moving everything into the new clinic in MK. Floors are being done tomorrow, moving desks etc on Sunday, but just realised the sink is in the wrong place. I really am not friends with my builder today..........
And I just know it's going to rain while I'm moving stuff.

I think Newcastle is the most vibrant & exciting City in England.
Thery have dealt with their traffic problems well, the Architecture is good by UK Standards, the girls are something else, the place just buzzes, driving across the bridge into Newcastle always makes the pulse quicken. And yes, the "ship" is still "parked" (we sailors say moored, actually....) under the bridge. A walk along the riverside late at night, thay have a lovely boardwalk, is not to be missed. Apparently, if you cross the River, you are in Gateshead, so it's a beautifuly defined natural boundary.
If time to spare, drop down to Durham, arguably Britain's finest Cathedral, it "sits" so well on the hill above the town, & frames the town superbly.
You have a 16 year old Daughter? - wow, that must be bittersweet, when the boys start to get interested! You ever watch that film, with Steve somebody - "My Darling Daughter", or "my Daughter's Wedding"? The fella comes home & puts his hand on her thigh.....Dad;s blood pressure ROCKETS!

Have a look, don't you just know it.
