Recently read:
"The man behind the shades, The rise and fall of Stuey 'The Kid' Ungar" it was an amazing read, it was extremely moving and completely inspirational. I would reccomend this book to any gambler/poker player it was top quality.
Also
"The proffessor, the banker and the suicide king. Inside the richest game of all time" Which is also a good read, i havent finished it yet but it goes into amazing details about $10'000 - $20'000 NL.. a subject we should all brush up on... hahaha

I've read One of A Kind, which is the same book with it's American title.
Excellent book. A truly sad story of flawed genius.

Yep the docu on him on poker tube is really cool. Funny when his nose collapsed due to coke, then when he had it rebuilt he did coke too early and messed it up again. So he always wore his shades hanging on his nose to cover it up.

The book and documentary are well worth a look. A genius at cards whose life was so far from reality it was scary. What his life might have been like if he was born 25 years later and caught the poker boom, the mind boggles.

I reviewed it a while back. The review can be found here:

Incredibly, it prompted the author to sign upto blonde and comment on it, which was a nice touch:

Bloody good book. With hindsight my score of 7.5 was a tad harsh.

Another book that I really enjoyed but only ever read three quarters of it.
Must dig it out and finish it.
