Double bubble

tikay played the $30k and a qualifier for a $1400 WSOP sat seat, and bubbled in both.
Bummer, but what a great effort (and he still made a profit on the night)

v v ul TK, always next time

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Thanks Guys. I came out a few bob ahead, so no complaints.
In the $30k Guaranteed (11th, poo, $329) Nick Gibson was Chip Daddy a long way from home. Some player him.
The WSOP jobbie had 5 seats, so 6th was always on the cards.
Hey-Ho, another day, another little profit, (won a few bob on Omaha Cash too), that'll do nicely.

I still don't believe you could play 66 like that.
I had QQ, I was a hairs breadth from pulling the trigger.

If you re-popped it pre, I pass. If you bet the Flop, I pass. But with an A high flop, & my RR behind you, it was tough for you to bet the flop, or call my Bet on it. Once you checked the Fliop, I had to push, though I did wonder if you'd trap-checked me.
How could I re-pop it pre-flop with 6-6? Because I know a good player can Pass.

It was a great play whatever. I was almost sure you didn't have the A, you bet it so strong. Over 4k more when 4k was the average stack, but with better than average chips myself, I felt I could find a better spot.
I didn't.

You thought I never had the A?

The bet was so big though...
You might have had AA and tried the old massive overbet ploy.....?

On the bubble for a WSOP seat? Bugger that, I would have naffed off to the pub and left the comp running if I had average chips.

No, it was a Sat for a Sat, so to speak, $100 affair, the top 5 got a $1,400 seat in a 1 for 10 jobbie tomorrow. Average chips, yes, I'd have gone & made a pot of tea, but I've never had average chips in my life! I'm never comfy unless I'm down to the felt. Which is just as well.
