Just put my vote in for Hopkins and Kingsley.  Very surprised that no ones voted for John Hurt yet though - he would have been my third choice.

Steven Spielberg called Pete postlethwaite 'the best actor in the world'- i to think hes pretty good so he gets my vote. As does the Chianti slurper from hell- Great thread.

Toss between Bale and Hopkins.

Both would make a crap film watchable. Hopkins has a huge screen presence, Bale is technically brilliant, utterly believable every time.
