They can't credit back more than your deposit by plastic. Presume they are shoving the rest on your neteller account?

If you don't have one contact support@pokerstars.com They should be able to sort out a cheque instead

Neteller is an online wallet for gambling sites.  If you've ever used Ebay its similar to Paypal.  Basically, you open an account by providing basic personal details (costs nothing to do so) and you can then transfer funds in and out of poker and casino sites from this account.  You get a choice of currency options for the account.  Personally, I think its best to leave it in US$ as you can then transfer $ amounts around the sites without incurring exchange rate costs.  Cashouts to Neteller take anything from a few seconds (PokerStars) to upto a week (Pacific) depending on the site you're using.  Deposits from Neteller are all pretty much instant.

As redsimon said, some sites won't refund to cards beyond the amount deposited, which is why they're splitting your cashout in this way.  Basically, what Stars are telling you is that you need to set up a Neteller account which is registered to the same email address as your Stars account.  If you don't want to do this, the alternative is to get a cheque for the additional balance.

To register an account you just need to go to www.neteller.com and follow the instructions.  Its perfectly safe and many people on here have accounts.

Hope this helps.
