Thursday's 500 Double Chance NLH Freezeout attracted almost a full house of 138 runners. and a prize fund of 69,000. The final results, after they returned on Friday to do battle on Friday, was........

17th, Richard Ashby, 500

16th, A Male, 500

15th, S. Lennon, 500

14th, Racing Ronnie, 500

13th, Ian At It Bradley, 500

12th, G Redgewell, 500

11th, Kevin Lovejoy O'Leary, 500

10th, D Jordan, 500

And The Final.......

9th, Richard Prew, 1,610

8th, C Lovas, 1,940

7th, Simon Nowab, 2,260

6th, Micky Wernick, 2,580

5th, C Ledger, 3,870

4th, E Mistereggen, 5,480

3rd, Trevor Reardon, 8,060

2nd, Rob Yong, 12,900

WINNER - CARLO CITRONE, 25,800.

In accordance with the policy at Luton, these are the OFFICIAL results, based upon the prize fund, & do NOT reflect any business which is done by the players.

In fact, the top 6 did a chop when the blinds became prohibitive. As Chip Leader, Carlo took the most money, & the Trophy, with Rob Yong just behind in second.

Well, having spent the best part of my 3 days at Luton sharing a table (usually sat next to him), I just wanted to publicly congratulate Carlo on a job well done.

Considering that I started the final table with 30,000 chips out of 1,100,000 in play and blinds of 4000/8000 (see Tikay, the notebook is useful!!) I'm overjoyed to have survived to the final 6.

I don't venture into live games too often, as work committments usually prevent it,  but I've had real fun over the past 3 days.  Perhaps I should get out there a bit more often!

No Julian, I don't consider myself 'blog-worthy' as yet!

Its a tip I read from Greg 'Fossilman' Raymer which seemed to make sense to me.  Whipping out the notebook did raise a few eyebrows though, which was fun!

By the way Julian, I have to admire the way you handled yourself on your exit in the tournament.  I can only imagine the way many others would react to having Aces cracked by a runner runner fluke (I was seat 1 on the table).  Having never met you before, witnessing your reaction showed me why I've read so many complimentary things about you and your game.

Good luck in the main event.

and don't forget the blondeite in 9th. It may not be the result I was hoping for when top 6 in chips half an hour before the final table but it's a result after a few barren months.
