Well they didn't ask but they have invited themselves round for a home visit! I think they do it to everyone not just me so the question might come up then. Cos the Mrs goes to work I've got to deal with this which is totally fine, but I can see things coming up that just seem really weird. They want me to go to a coffee moning to meet all the other parents, like yeah I really want to go to a f****** mother's meeting ffs.

It is unfortunate but schools do judge people,  your child will be advantaged if you fit in, volunteer for parent association meetings, help with school functions etc.   I learnt this first time round with my daughter.   It starts in nursery school but carries on all the way through.  So if you final school is over subscribed your job description and previous contributions will help your child get in to your choosen school.

Surely , if your wife goes out to work, you must be a househusband, or whatever the trendy term is.

How modern and liberated can you get.

And once the work's all done, you can spend an hour or so on the internet.
