Sam Grizzle is touching felt with a paltry 4.8k (although he does have his second chance behind), Daniel Alaei causing the hero-for-punching-Hellmuth veteran, his fold to a 5.2k bet on a board of being a reluctant one. "I could call," commented Grizzle, "but I wouldn't be able to bet any more."

How many started the event?

Not sure, they don't seem to have confirmed a figure yet. I guess people have been arriving in dribs and drabs.

Dutcman, author, CardPlayer editor and Pot Limit Omaha pro, Rolf Slotboom (17,100), yawning away as mad German Davood Mehrmand drives the table bonker. "For sure, I have my headphones with me today," says a relieved Slotboom.

Marc Goodwin looks perkier today, obviously keen to win this one and establish himself as one of the great Omaha players: "This is the real Main Event for many players."

any updates on andy black appreciated.

Andy Black - 12,350, looking a couple of crackers short of a barrel.

Also at his table, Davood Mehrmand (stack uncounted) and Rolf Slotboom (18,500, probably).

Poker pro Brian Haversen (11,600) and bracelet winner Burt Boutin (8,300), the former adopting a posture reminiscent of the head-spinning scene in the Exorcist.

Dusk til Dawn's Michael Greco and Dubai in the current break - Dubai has, "A bowl of rice.  Say 10k."  And this is after he'd reached 50k after one level...apparently no-one else had instantly taken all 20k in chips, and he'd forced about five of them to 'rebuy.'  And then lost it.  "It's a crapshoot," comes the inevitable judgement.

Counts from Table Greco:

Bill Chen  925 (can't see a Second Chance Chip either)
Jeff Kimber  15,400
Joe Beevers  20,200
Michael Greco  18,350
Thomas Wahlroos  20,300

In the breaks, the spectators, and then the players themselves, are asked to leave the tournament area.  All except Joe Hachem (top) who gets another interview, and Dario Minieri, still in a hand (bottom), and John Duthie next to Minieri who's not in a hand but looked reluctant to halt his massage.

John D'Agostino calls around 6k all-in from this gent (pictured taking the pot) on a board of with , finding against him, which hold up and take a chunky pot from the Full Tilt player.

Henning Granstad is on 16k and in tough company with Mark Vos, Huck Seed, Jeff Lisandro and John Duthie, although he did initially state himself as the best player, jokingly, when I posed the question.

When asked to describe his comp so far in just one word, the answer was "Boring".
