Look who's late arrival neighbouring Alan Smurfit - Daniel Negreanu.  Spot the difference between these two pictures - pre and post looking at his hand.  A tell?  Surely not...

Marc Goodwin looks perkier today, obviously keen to win this one and establish himself as one of the great Omaha players: "This is the real Main Event for many players."

Snoopy have u any idea why he didt play the 50k horse event? He was interviewed on pokernews and was really lookin forward to it he said then didt play it

No idea m8, maybe he saw the lack of value and decided 50k wasn't worth the punt.

any updates on andy black appreciated.

Andy Black - 12,350, looking a couple of crackers short of a barrel.

Also at his table, Davood Mehrmand (stack uncounted) and Rolf Slotboom (18,500, probably).
That's Adrian Walsh to Andy's right. Great omaha player. He won that Full Tilt tourney in Dublin a while back (beating elblondie HU i think)

John Shipley's comp in one word?...

Wait for it...

"Okay"

Stu Fox, meanwhile, threw the word 'stressful' at me, adding that he actually has to think about this game.

Foxy's currently on 26,700.

After such a lucrative start, Dubai is now in full bulldog and wasp mode wit just 8.6k. Also, he's being joined by Monte Carlo runner upperer Marc Karam (10,600) and French pro Fabice Soulier (28,100), although the word 'bovved' springs to mind.

Max Pescatori is on 14,300 after losing a pot to a flopped set of Queens. That cheeky little red rebuy chip is still in his grasp though.

I'm sure someone mentioned this chap as a potential dangerman... Villamun, I think his name is. Anyhow, he's running okay with 23,600, but has the enigmatic Mr Fish to his right to contend with.

Ted Forrest, currently with 26,000, just folded to a bet of 2k on a board of , but that's the least of his troubles with Greg Raymer seated next to him, the former Main Event winner fighting for the chip lead with around 45k.

Big hand developed on the far table, and although I only caught the very end, I was there quick enough to witness a double elimination, Great Dane Gus Hansen and bracelet winning German Michael Keiner both being sent to the rail.

I have no idea what Gus held, but I did spot a , which had run into a superior set of Nines on a two spades board.

Well, I guess that makes him deserving of his own photo and chip count...
