I was reading Simon Trumper's WSOP diary and he was saying that it would still be possible to enter the main event on day 1d, I forget the exact time, and that there would also be an early tubo supersat on day 1d too.

So will anybody get caught trying to enter the main event after getting knocked out on one of the earlier days ?

Or..

Will some people get away with dual or mutiple entry ? My guess would be that at least one person does.

I thought you were allowed to re-enter - I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere in the rules that it was ok.

It wouldn't be that hard to borrow a friend's ID surely

You make it sound like it's a bad thing if someone were to reenter.

What's the downside for the the other players ?

Say I'm Steve Davis.  A competant amateur, who has an outside chance of cashing

If the field is, say 5,000, and 500 rebuy, how much has that reduced my chances of making the money again ?

Good point - I reckon dozens, scores maybe, will try it.

Steve Davis has already played the WSOP Main Event and each time he appeared on cue.

Surely it would be simple enough to get a friend to enter perfectly legitimately and you then take his place in the tourney.

Would be difficult if you win to claim.
