I shared a table with James at the Sportsman late last year.

But the last time I saw James he was working in Chris Smith's office - that's Chris who owns Bad Beat. I believe he was doing Hedge Fund or somesuch work, but was also a BadBeat "Trader".

I once shared a table with the guy that ran 2nd to James and he was very complimentary about both his game and his conduct on the table and away from it.

If you quit poker to become a hedge manager do you have to go on gardening leave first?

He still works for Chris Smiths hedge fund where he plays for figures daily the size of wsop pools lol. He is still a keen but recreational player and writes columns for somewhere or other (can't remember where but the last time I was down at badbeat offices he asked me to read through them for him). Very genuine humble guy who makes more selling stocks and shares than he could ever do playing poker.
