Funny really i'd really be interested in the criteria for being a mod.
I mean are you actually looking for wisecracking, amiable, upset nobody sort of chaps or are you looking for people to actually help run the place?
We all know that there is (and has) only ever been 1 mod on blonde and that is tightend. the guy is an absolute legend, the only one to get involved.
The rest are just tokens, always have been, Heid was very good, same with Kev but they no longer occupy the space.
It really is a daft joke to think that serious people keep an eye on this place.

The mods are a team, everyone works hard and contributes. Some behind the scenes more, some more public. Some have full time occupations, some don't so workloads can affect how much some are visible. None are token mods, each have different strengths. Even Kinboshi.

All that happened in the early days was that I tended to volunteer to do the PMs or the emails...something to do with a love of my own voice and a tendency to write 6 paragraphs for every one that was needed!

In addition I spent the most time on the nitty gritty..nowadays this is shared far more..its a better team

Earlier today Nemesis said something to the effect of "TightEnd banned me" and I replied that this was wrong...I merely sent the emails!

Let me say first of all that if your comments apply to anyone, they apply to me. I freely admit to being very poor quality mod material, but I've been here a long time and people tolerate me. The others however work extremely hard. They do a very difficult job that often leaves them emotionally drained and upset. They do it for no pay and very little thanks.

I thought your comments were hurtful, spiteful, and totally uncalled for.

I used to consider you to be my friend, I'm sorry to say, that is no longer the case. I'm sure you won't think it's much of a loss.

Sometimes, in the midst of a "hot" debate, nasty things are said, things one may later regret saying.

But this was an unprovoked attack on the Mods Team, & was quite un-necessary. 

I don't intend to debate the criteria for selecting the Mods, but I'm entirely happy with it.

FWIW, the Mods do a lot more than some folks realise. Organise blonde Bashes, Mansion, Titan & Virgin deals (which have benefitted blonde Members to a huge amount), the Shop, the Leagues, all in addition to trying to keep this Forum - which you get free access to - a decent place where like-minded folk can chill.

With the free access to this Forum also comes Live Updates & such-like. To attack so un-necessarily those who work so hard, voluntarily, to keep the place half-decent is ingratitude of a huge degree.

All the Mods contribute an enormous amount, but some have a higher profile than others.

I am equally grateful to every one of them, & would defend every one of them, & I speak for the majority of blondes in thinking this.

I could make a case for each & every one of them, but let's talk about Ironside.

He's been with me since the very start. He has, personally, sorted out Accounts & Avatars for any number of Members. Retrieved hundreds of lost Passwords, & reset Accounts which had technical problems. Monitored the Forum for Members who, for disingenous rather than humorous reasons, set up duplicate Accounts & try to sneak back in under the radar. Ensured we have adequate file capacity for the pictures our Forum carries. Set up a temporary Forum when our Server crashed, as it used to frequently. Replied to, promptly, thousands of PM's from Members who had Forum technical problems. Kept the flood of spam at bay. And Modded a place where, increasingly, he & his colleagues are attacked without good reason. Handled unwarranted & not very bright abuse when we've had to Suspend or Ban a Member - something no Mod ever does lightly.

I could make the same case for every one of them. Iron is no more or less exceptional than the rest of them. Collectively, we have to field hundreds of PM's each & every week to run this place. Hundreds, every single week.

I'd like to think you regret saying the things you did to attack them so blatantly. But somehow, I doubt you will. Your Post said more about you, than the Mods.

Congrats Kin on becoming one of the Modding Team.
Imagine this Forum if the mods had a few weeks off, lets say a month of no mods at all.
The place would probably self destruct,  spam filling every page, flaming wars, you get the picture.
Blonde poker needs mods and I think the mod team here is as good as it gets.
