"Birds of The Netherlands & Belgium" is hardly a heading likely to inspire too many of you to click this Link. I genuinely think this is one of the finest collection of birdlife photographs I have ever seen. Birdlovers will adore the exquisite photography, colour, & detail. Non Birdlovers, best to avoid it, probably.
The first pic most of you have seen, the rest are all "new". Use the "Next Picture" clicker thing, top right above the picture.

Some great pictures Tikay - although I noticed there wasn't one picture of a ptarmigan.
Perhaps they do not reside in Belguim & The Netherlands, Rob? Some cursory googling & wikipedia-ing suggests as much.
I had a little bone up on ptarmigan's this morning, & it seems they have different plumage for summer & winter, to disguise themselves better. In winter, even their legs have white fur, to blend in with the snow. Apparently, they make a niose like a bullfrog. "You can't see me, but I'm here" sorta thing.
LOL - didn't think I'd get that one by you.

Stunning. Is he (she?) a member of the Finch family?
Am watching that Railway documentary on BBC2, PTP-ing, & will have another hour or two on that bird site after midnight - the photo quality is astounding. How do they get such clear pictures?

Some seriously big & expensive telephoto lenses, the best start at a couple of grand.

Yes, grand 'photos, but I can't see what the connection is between the 'photos & the words, & I have no idea what "twitter" is supposed to be about.
Can someone enlighten us?

Beautiful Maureen, but I wonder why they all seem to have been taken during the hours of darkness?

Proof - Bitches get jealous.
A lovely little 3 picture-piece in today's Independent.
The subject is asked for the paw by the experimenter and obeys. The partner dog is sitting next to the subject and waiting for its turn

The subject is following closely that the partner is receiving a food reward for it's action.

After observing that the subject never got a food reward, but the partner did, the subject goes all mardybum.
