That Red bloke's been doing a load of traffic on his diary by posting old TV clips - don't think your diary should be left behind!

All this doom & gloom, & emphasis on bad news, but there's good stuff out there too.

Here is the amazing power of nature to heal the most horrific of wounds beautifully demonstrated.

On Tuesday, Eduardo de Silva played for the Arsenal stiffs, at Barnet.

And this was Eduardo just 10 months ago.

Well done him.

But all is not sweetness & light at Arsenal, even allowing for Mr Gallas's bizarre outburst yesterday, effectively signalling his time is nearly up at The Emirates.

Lady Nina-Smith, who has probably been a Shareholder at Arsenal since before I was born, (maybe even Pre-Karabiner) has been ousted from the Board, after a spat with Denis Hill-Wood. She holds 15.9% of the tightly-held Shares. She was ofered a Life Presidency, but she's obdurate & feisty, & told him where to put it.

With her share "lock-down" agreement now null & void, & with the acquisitive Alisher Usmanov, who already holds 24.9, (most of which he got from David Dein), eager for more, Arsenal are now very much in play.

They'd be worth an absolute fortune, a real trophy asset even in these troubled times.

Sir Victor Blank, Chairman of LLoyds-TSB, was interviewed on Radio 4's "The World at One" yesterday, & he spoke very well, with much gravitas.

But then he went & said this.....

"I see the world-wide economic situation being quite tricky in the first 6 months of 2009, with a lot more pain to come."

Not much gets past Sir Victor.

This might well be dependant on how scathed or unscathed Usmanov has escaped from the Russian stock-market.

Danny Fiszman might also be in the market to increase his holding which is currently 24.5% I believe

Either way, the end of an era, Ralph.

All the Danny Fiszman's in the world just don't have that aristochratic ring to their names we so associate with Arsenal - Denis Hill-Wood, & Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith.

I bet they ain't got many double-barrelled names over at White Hart Lane, or Millwall. Class, see?
