It's all relative Jase. "Regular" for me is around 12 or 13st, for some, 16st or 17st is just fine, for others, 10st is too much.
It's all rather odd when you see those "ideal weight for your height" charts, they are just complete nonsense.
I'm only guessing, but I bet Matt Russell is 15st or whatever, but he's fitter than most who weigh a good deal less. Whereas Maria only weighs 11 stone, but that's OK, as she has child-bearing hips, see?

I didn't know God made apple pies. That being said, I had a pasty yesterday that tasted like he had something to do with it.

Ah, great to see you've accepted the staking for a little extra sweat for your backers.
Have a blast out there in Vegas, try and win something, but if you don't have fun trying and don't be doubting your play like you were last year.
I think you look in great shape on 865 with the weight loss and glad to see 865 have dropped some of the older promo segments so the viewer doesn't get to see you (and Orford) in three stages of "size" in as many minutes!
If you can drag yourself away from the poker in Vegas you should try and book yourself a couple of excursions to take your camera on. I'm sure you could get some amazing shots out there. Although framing the Grand Canyon might be bit of a bugger.

Lol, thanks Aaron, top man you.
I DO doubt myself, & my poker play, all the time, it's natural when on a run of blanks. Anyone of my vintage is bound to think "
am I running bad, or have have I lost it
?", it's perfectly natural, & correct.
On my trip to Vegas last July, I forget the exact details, but I cashed 2 or 3 times from around a dozen attempts, & made one Final, probably lost a smidgeon overall in Tourneys. I returned in November & was 0 for plenty!
Since then, though I no longer keep records, I can barely recall even cashing, except for winning (umm, chopping....) an SPT Sidey for a grand. I would imagine I have played 15 or 20 Tourneys since, without a single cash. To be fair, I have been mainly playing DC or Omaha cash recently, & I'll also do some of that in Vegas after early bustos.
I know for sure I am the original anti Insane Edge, & even at my "best" I knew exactly where I stood in the game, just a plodder, but even plodders get lucky now & then.
We shall see.
Much appreciate the staking, thank you. I had no plans or need to sell action, & I'd never dream of asking, but I do think it's rather fun to have a bit of fun staking between friends. Can't promise to win you any money, but you'll get reports on everything, probably via my Daily Blogs. Which I shall relentlessly spam.....
Hope all is well with you, & that young Leo is in good form.
PS - Good news. I'm taking my camera.

Variance eh? Although if you read threads on other forums or FB groups you might think otherwise. ;-)
Leo left for a school trip to Wales a day after the torrential rain and flash floods. Not heard from him since, but he can swim so I'm sure it's all fine.

Today was the annual "Trooping the Colour", in Horse Guards Parade, London.
I know there is much resentment of the Royals, & it costs a bomb, but I think Trooping the Colour is the most perfectly splendid thing. I got seats once, & took my Dad, & I think we both cried our eyes out at the sheer magnificence of it.
The whole thing is much much more organised & traditional than you could begin to imagine, & it is repeated every year, & has been for the better part of 300 years now.
The chap who supervises everything is called
"Field Officer in Waiting
". Note the "Waiting". ?!
The whole thing has detail you can but dream of. For instance, they have one "March On", but a myriad of "march pasts".
Prepare for match past.
Foot guards march past in slow & quick time.
Slow march past.
Quick march past.
Mounted guards march past.
Walk march.
Trot-past.
March off.
None of which makes much sense to me, & I don't pretend to understand it. Bit like Baseball really, which I also adore watching.
In the highly unlikely event that you give a monkeys toss, some of the minutiae is here....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trooping_the_Colour
I just love it to bits, & it is one of so many things I had taken more note of, & seen more of, when I was younger. I guess it's natural that when we are young, we don't "get" these things, but it'd be rather neat if more people took a bit of time to see the amazing stuff that happens around us. They'll regret it later in life if they don't. I sure do.

U saw a flop with JTxx? U musta been in the straddle
Can't believe noone went for the 'Did u hear about the fella who got knocked out of an Omaha comp by Tikay? His name was Ivor....Ivor No Idea? Ivor Better Place to Go, Ivor Donation to Make to the Old Boy, Ivor Missed My Flush Draw. Turns out it was Ivor the Muff Diver, his missus doesn't let him out much, so I heard.
As for the boy Lin, as u well know from the darkside thread, the NBA season is down to the Finals, last two teams (ie all other teams are done for the year now, next season generally starts around Hallowe'en (note the pointless apostrophe). Lin was injured towards the end of the season, but his New York Knicks made the playoffs and lost to Miami in the first round (as u well know!). Salary cap rules, with all their exceptions, are very complicated, and there's currently a legal case going on to decide what offer Lin will get next season, but it's certain the Knicks will keep him, it's more the aze is hanging over other Knicks players should the ruling fall the other way

While in Vegas, get to a sports bar to watch the NBA Finals games, game three is Sunday, even the pub-type bar in the Rio has amazing atmos for Finals games, sure u can find better tho...

Thank you!
You might just be the only person who looks forward to my photos.
Got a bunch already, 2 x 737's, a 767, & the tailplanes of three x 747's. Oh, & three Norweigan blokes I met in a lift. I recognized the accent immediately. Turned out they were from Glasgow, obv. And THEN the weirdest thing went off.
That apart, decided to be sensible on the firsr day after finishing the diet, so just had a small brekkie, Eggs Benedict. Not a patch on the DTD version, or the one I had in Nice recently.
Book shop next, bye bye £59, but got 6 interesting books.
In "One Lounge" now. Could not resist a bowl of muesli, mmm. Ohm, & a warm sausage roll, with tomato ketchup.
Had brekkie here last year with Vinni, Gav, & NBA expert, Sicilian. They enjoyed my company so much they swerved me this year.

I pulled a stroke on Jeeves & he missed his flight. Glory be, peace & privacy awaits.
PS - What a great effort by Stu Rutter!

Indeed - nice one Stu. Impressive to go so deep in 2 of only a small handful of tournys.
"Enjoy" the flight, particularly if you get Barbarella!
I might email Jeeves now.. he can have my ottoman

I did indeed get "Barbarella", (747-400), the refit is most impressive, particularly the In Flight Entertainment console, which is a beautiful touch screen affair, much bigger screen, over 60 films, plus TV, music, & all the other gubbins. Most impressed. The films are all guff though, nothing decent, ditto the TV. The newly refitted 747-400's have a slightly different livery on the tailplane, the "V" of Virgin extends above the top of the tail, whereas previously it finished slightly below. Fascinating.
Queue to exit McCarron were horrendous. An hour to get through Immigration, then another hour to exit the Baggage Hall, where some bloke was questioning everyone, that queue alone was best part of 90 minutes.
Temp is 40c, oooh.

Vegas Staking Fiasco
I've had one chap literally BEGGING to buy some action, he offered 0.7, but I refused, anyway, we have another
idiot
wise investor on board, see below......God help me if Chief Staking Inspector Keys sees this, I'll be ripped to shreds, I've not even put up my THM.
For the record, everyone is on at "par", & the MAX spend is $10,000, but likely to be a good deal less.
I will pre-notify via this thread before I play any or all tourneys.
Irene Nutcase Trip5 1%
Aaron/Machka, 5%
Alan Nice Man, 1%, maximum £65 spend agreed. PAID.
Plump Bloke, 2%.
Methuselah, 2%.
MerelyBurnMoney - 5%
