2 minor issues arose after I busted.
The PLO8 is actually PLO, and the PLO has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Outrageous.

Had a great exit hand in the 8 game whilst on the Triple Draw 2-7.
Was dealt the wheeltastic A-2-3-4-5.
Dumped the A, then, on consecutive streets, drew a 4, then another 4, then a 6, bugger.
Hugely entertaining afternoon.

Flushy and Deadman drew the same table. Was wandering around earlier and too polite to walk through the riffraff barriers and say hello. In Brazilia if anyone's interested.
VBOL, Mr Goulder.

I'm 32 in Brasilia Tal and stato is 9 same room
Tal is now 30,000 feet in the air, on his way home, sadly, but I will come across when I am done at Golden Nugget.
I'm struggling to understand how at 1236 Tal can be wandering about the Rio, but at 1252 be 30,000 feet in the air. He's too clever for me that one.
I meant that THEY were on the same table in Brazilia. Not me. I was there earlier. Mea culpa.
I'm no longer 37,000 feet in the air. Back in the land where they don't ask you whether you want water in your tea.

unlucky but pretty sure you draw two if dealt A-5 ?
When's the next PLO8 or BigO8 adventure?

SHOULD have drawn two.......
My naivety was extraordinary, but what fun that was.
Anyway, I purchased some books last night on some of the Mixed Game components, so I can try & learn the ropes. I really loved that Tourney.
Next outing is Noon today, $225 PLO8 @ Golden Nugget.
Despite an abysmal return so far this trip, I'm genuinely confident that I will give a good account of myself. I don't play scared at the $225 level, & the structure is just fine.
I know & understand a good bit of PLO8 "theory" (or I think I do....), & I play (I think....) a technically good game. It's quite amazing to see the variety of hands played in PLO8 though. I auto-fold almost any hand that contains any two cards between 6 & 9, & yet I often see 6-7-7-8 tabled "because it can win both ends".
I am almost obsessive about having an A in my hand, too, it is such a powerful card in O8, & yet folks turn up with the weirdest Ace-less combos.
Still, I'm not winning a bean this trip, & maybe they are. A revisit to the drawing board may be in order.

I don't play triple draw, apart from very rare mixed game comps, but if you have 3 draws 2345x must be better than 234xy? You hit the 4 both ways and is only the 6 that kills you in one and not the other? 23457 is way better than 2347q though. And drawing 2 you have twice the chance of pairing. There are only 4 sixes and 16 cards that can pair etc. I might be wrong but it is making my brain hurt trying to work out how. Anybody help?
Think we discussed this off thread, but I don't really hate 6778 in NLO8 especially if double suited. But it is very difficult to play in PLO8. Maybe those that play it are from the future and just don't get pot limit games.
As an aside the nightly $50 game is now NLO8 on stars and not PLO8. The future isn't far away.

at a very basic level (one draw). You can intuit from here and make adjustments for card removal.

I would say we are less insular about our sport than the americans are, probably helps we invented a lot of the main stream worldwide sports and then exported them throughout the empire.
