Morning all.
First up, let's hear it for Rob Price, aka animalpoker.
He sits 8th going into the last day of the $1,500 PLO8.
Rob won't be phased by the money, the occasion or the faces. He was an online pro for many years, mainly playing O8 variants.
With the rub of the green, he can win that thing.
Good luck Rob!
Edit: Probably about as bad a seat draw as he could get with Kavin Saul aka BelowAbove on his left with a very large stack.
Will be all the more impressive if he can take this down!

Will be surprised if he is a better player than Rob. Our man just needs to run good when the inevitable clash happens.
Need to get going. How many are there Tikay?

Glgl at the Nugget.
Can get high just walking around downtown now, same as across stoners' bridge between Planet Dark'n'dingy and the Cosmo. It's everywhere.
More scoopio please.

Not doubting Rob's ability for a second. Sure he is excellent and will be rooting for him obviously! Just saying it is a tough draw as Kevin is a pretty tidy player with $3.5m live cashes and $3.5m on stars alone and plenty elsewhere and has a tower of chips.

Zero cashes at O8? Played him quite a bit on stars, not sure he plays much O8 there either. He isn't going to be as good as Rob who has likely played way more hands of O8 and is/was one of the best on Stars.
Of course you can go a long way with great poker instincts, but just don't think it is that bad.
Bernado Dias is a very good player too. You wouldn't want him on your left if he doubles up.

Definitely not saying that Kevin is better and fully agreed that PLO8 isn't his best game, just personally would prefer Kevin on my right than my left. Especially with his stack size.

Morning David.
78 as at 11.30am.
It's a $250 re-entry, so I reckon it will get 150 or more, maybe 200.

The entry cost is $250, of which $200 goes into the prize pool, and $50 goes to Golden Nugget.
Very nice too.

The rake is obscene, but what a beautiful room this is, cartainly top 5 of all the card rooms I have ever played in.
It's much bigger than it looks at first sight, too. 120 tables, so can seat 1,200.
Can't be too many permanent cardrooms (as opposed to hotels or convention centres with a temporary licence) that can seat 1,200.
The high ceiling gives it superb scale.

It's a little busier now.....
This is just one third of the room.
2 tourneys running already, 2 more will run later today.
Wonderful room, Europe has nothing remotely like it.
