Just wanted to find out if I've been grimmed on that one off Vegas stake? If I have then meh.

Dead right you have. I'll be sending the dividend to Brad.

PS - all being well, I'll be sorting dividends & payments this weekend.

I was at Mum n dads yesterday as I am most days
They have a huge garden lovingly tended by dad
It really is quite impressive always with something going on plant wise
Yesterday I spotted a kestrel landed on dads fence using the top of the blue tit bird box as a table upon which to tear its prey up n eat it at lunch time
After no it's a blackbird -a female discoloured one I might add from dad
I stuck to my guns
So the ww2 binoculars came out
Yes it's a kestrel he confirmed
We sat enthralled for 15 mins n watched it eat its lunch
Couldn't get it on an I phone camera sadly
Didn't figure what the lunch was either
Ours was a ham sarnie n coleslaw

Dad cuts up fatty remains ,bits of bread ,any non eaten pizza crusts etc
Puts them on a small bird table
-only in daylight i.e. Before 2 pm as he doesn't want to encourage rats ! -
with a sloping roof on quite a small table I might add to limit the size of birds that can access it !
He gets an amazing amount of birds in His garden,
 up to 14 magpies ,
a family of Mum n dad crow plus 2 offspring who hop about on the floor n pick up the spilt crumbs !
With 2/3 fat balls n a squirrel proof nut feeder he gets a lot of small birds about too
Plus the squirrel still tries his luck q my border terrier going into spasms over the squirrel ! She's now figured out its ran up the scots pine / spruce tree 🌲 in the garden n hangs around its base hoping the squirrel will one day fall but it never has

Extraordinary, never seen anything like that before.

What was the source for that photo?

Not sure (Rod, Tom?) but I think they are weaver birds.

I'm imprisoned in my house today, all local roads closed by a Bicycle Race.

The increased interest in cycling these last 10 or 20 years is astonishing. A good thing, too, I'd say, clean, green & healthy.

Today's affair was (is, there are several races, including a bigger one this afternoon) called Prudential Ride London.

I've no idea how many are taking part, but it must be thousands, I stood & watched them go past for over an hour this morning. That was just the first race - there are several others today.

The fields behind the metal railings are what used to be Hurst Park Racecourse back in the day, which was quite a famous track. The other side of those fields is the Thames, arguably one of the most beautiful stretches in Surrey. The Towpath there - or more correctly Thames Path - is where I take my twice daily exercise walks.

Hampton Court Bridge is about a mile up the road, & between here & there is Molesey Lock & Molesey Weir.

For the record, those photographs were taken by me, not a professional photographer.

I took up cycling 4 or 5 years ago and it becomes addictive

I am on an hybrid bike (cross between a mountain bike and a road bike) i chose an hybrid so i took my time more and can be nosey over the hedgerows

Anyway i walk out the office say to the wife i am just going off on a steady bimble, get to the front gate put strava on the clock starts ticking and you pedal like an imbecile trying to beat your last time

Strava is an app that times your route, gives you average speed, how many miles you done etc

I was not aware of that, but yes, it seems you are correct;

I keep in touch with Sean, as we did a fair bit of work together back in the day. A genuinely good guy, very sharp, but no bad in him. Though I'm sure if you head to the Sports & Betting Board, Team Armchair will be busy telling us what a twat he is & how to do his job. We live in very strange times indeed, where the only qualification anyone needs to carry out character assassination of those in the public eye is a typewriter keyboard.
