I was perusing something the other day & came across an article on Poker News, back in, I think, 2010 or 2011, & the byline was Barry Carter. I had clean forgotten you used to be with Poker News.

Here, have a trip down Memory Lane;

Yes some good ones there. A lot of it seems like a very different poker world.

^^^ Funny one this. I remember writing this, not knowing the guy but remembering him doing well at DTD events. He later became one of my great friends almost entirely independent of poker, we struck up a conversation at the gym, he helped me drop a bit of weight ahead of my wedding and we go out now and then with the missuses. We go to the same gym and have played a game for the last year where we sneak up on each other and jump out of them and go 'boo'. Good bloke is Fraser, there are a lot of mood hoovers out there, he aint one of them.

^^^ ditto this is when I 'met' Jared Tendler, who later became a business partner of sorts, made me a small fortune and was the best man at my wedding

It was basically building passes and bridges like this through inhospitable jungle under slave labour by the Japs that caused the deaths of 100k+ locals plus captured Soldiers from various nations including Brits.

Train travel is still old school here, £3 for a four hour journey and still changing the points by hand, I watched them do it for each train.

Guitars have always interested me, and while sidetracked on Wiki I found that Brian May's homemade guitar had a page of it's own.

I quite enjoyed this.  Even if he just restrict me to buttons, he talks a lot of sense

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
