Great effort in tonights Hunt the Pro's TK! 11th out of 30 without playing a hand.
I can only but apologise for this.
As I found myself unable to play this, despite agreeing so to do, I rung Paul Jackson late afternoon to explain my problem, he was unavailable. So I spoke to Chubbs, & explained my dilemma, & asked if he could find a substitute. Unfortunately, the Lobby had been set up with Greg Hill & myself as the nominated Bounties, so he agreed that I should get a friend to play it in my name, and I agreed whom it would be with Chubbs.
I was without my 'phone tonight - deliberately, as I just wanted away from it after a bad day, but when I returned, it had a whole bunch of messages on it - it seems the Password I gave to my friend & intended substitute was incorrect.
My apologies to DTD, & anyone else as appropriate.

I was introduced to him by Carmel, & we had a great chat.
I'll be Posting more on this tomorrow - it's 4.45am now, & I have a very long day in prospect on Tuesday at Feltham.
He has joined the Forum as "G-Man" already.
I also have the June Schedule for Luton - some great variety in there, including that promised £250 10,000 chip 2 dayer, starting Friday June 27th. Details tomorrow.

A Deal was proposed with 5 left, equal chop, but due to a bit of bad blood beteeen two players, was rejected by one.
As soon as Steve Kirk busted Mick in 3rd place - giving him a 145k to 95k chip lead over me Heads-Up, he suggested an equal chop, £1,200 each netto after some "deal money" for 6th to 9th had been taken care of.
We also had a 12 man Last-Longer, in which Compo managed to bust out in the first 15 minutes, & 4 of us carved it up in the end, all getting 6/4 our dough.
I run good.

The news was sad, but almost inevitable, in this day & age, & with Mr Chandler being a savvy old so & so.
Walthamstow Stadium, RIP.

Prompted by a quite splendid picture in today's Independent (which I cant seem to find), here's a pic to remind Thewy of his White Water Slalom Days. He was a top-class Paddler, which explains those giant hands he has.

Heard on BBC Radio 4 News today.
"....we (the crew of a Ship) could almost see the Coast".
Neat eyesight that.

This has been coming for a long time. I had a kennel hand's licence with a Harlow trainer for a year two or three years ago and they were predicting it back then.
Very sad news indeed.

Went up to Knaresborough on Sunday and took this picture of the Bridge the Nun was describing. Note the train in the background, weird that the small station is nestled away just 50 yards in from the bridge.

Tony arrived at the final table with not much (standard) and turned it into a choppity chop. I sat down as chip leader and took the shavings from the floor...I was agressive until Mick decided to come over the top and then I lost my nerve a bit and went and hid in my shell - started playing Aces and Kings only and being a complete girl.
Tikay managed to win his races, I managed to distribute my chips between the others and propell them forward. Whatever Tikay does I don't think can be taught but if only I knew what it was! Sigh....

'tis true, one got outrageously lucky, & one did not.
I arrived at the Final as Chip-Low - fancy that - &, quite uncharacteristically, won the first 5 consecutive hands, all uncontested. With Blinds big, that's serious rent money. I had image now, & the players behind me never once played back. Until......
Going for 6 on the Bounce, I over-reached, & made a Pot Raise with Q-J, quite reasonably. A player with about 75% of my Stack then moved all-in. Pah - what to do? I absolutely knew I was way behind, but it was one of those maths calls I usually struggle to make, but as long as I was "Live", I was stuck with it, & I had just enough to survive if it failed. I got a read on the guy - yes, my hand was Live, so made the crying call with my Q-J. He had A-Q. I hit. Obv. A run of dire luck had suddenly reversed sickeningly. Amazing how these sort of hands can suck-out. I think it's called, scientifically, Linton's Law.
Meanwhile, it was working the other way for Ding, & eventually she got pot-stuck by Mick, who is generally at-it with air. She made the Brave Call with Bottom Pair I think. He'd flopped the King Flush, & she was pretty much drawing dead.
Luck & Poker go hand-in-hand.
