Excellent news that Raj is back, no boring, quiet tables when she's dealing.
Good to hear you've broken your Seb duck Tikay, there really is nothing quite like playing with Tim NBD.
Seb? Never seen anything quite like it!
He's just extraordinary. It's almost like he plays with a death wish on his stack. He played every hand except 4 pre the first break last night. Then he found a decent hand, got multi-called & sucked out by some scally, & said "how could you call?"......
LOL...never forget the night i nearly reached for Seb across the table..just as i was about to bluff he announced the hand he had passed which was half of what i was about to represent ...DOH
i honestly think he has potential.
There was a time when I thought the same thing, but alas I was wrong. Seb is destined to follow Avi over to the dark side. There is no hope, only pain.

Today's Times.
How?
A four-year-old Israeli girl was left behind at the airport as her mother, father and four siblings rushed to catch a flight to Paris.
The ultra-Orthodox family of seven, who between them had 18 suitcases, were in a hurry not to miss their flight from Ben Gurion international airport at Tel Aviv, and in their haste failed to notice that only six of them had actually boarded the plane.
The girl was found crying and wandering around the departures hall, a massive circular area with dozens of stores and eateries.
Sagit Ben-Eden, a policewoman, noticed the girl and stopped to interview her. After obtaining her surname and checking flight records they ascertained that the parents had boarded a San Dor flight to Paris an hour earlier.
“I saw a little girl in tears. She was looking for her parents,” Ms Ben-Eden said.
“Luckily she was able to give me her name. I grabbed her and ran to the gates but it was too late (because the plane had just taken off)."
As the aircraft gained height, the girl’s parents suffered the crushing embarrassment of being tannoyed by the pilot of the plane to inform them that their family was one short. They had apparently still not realised.
Superintendent Amnon Shmueli, commander of the airport's Passport Control said: "I've been on this job for many years, but I've never seen someone forget their child at the airport. I've seen people return to collect forgotten equipment, but such an incident never happened before."
The incident was a reminder of the 1990 US box office hit Home Alone, in which a little boy is accidentally left alone as his family rush to the airport and fly to Paris for a Christmas holiday.
Unlike the movie, there was a happy ending for the little girl who was able to join her parents. She was flown to Paris on the next flight out, accompanied by a flight attendant.
The forgetful parents will be questioned by the authorities upon their return home and may be charged with negligence, police said.

I'm letting myself down with this Diary, by struggling to keep it up to date, but it's a personal thing, & I don't want to give up.
So excuse the chronological jumping about, whilst I spend an hour or two to jot some things down.

Dont give up on it just yet mate.
I'm new to writing blogs and keeping updates and know that it's hard sometimes to find a spare hour in ones day to keep things up to date.
I sometimes have to remind myself that I'm not just doing it for the intrested people who log on and read my stuff but also it give me great pleasure when I look back. It must be harder for you with the committments that you have mate but keep in there and do what you can.
It would be greatly missed by a lot of readers if you did give up.

I was hesitant to say anything at first, but now you've mentioned it, I must confess I'm disappointed by your performance of late. It's about time you bucked your ideas up, sunshine.

This week's remaining "to-do" list, as of this morning.
Record Stacked-Up today.
Sorted, though we had a few "issues", & we over-ran in recording time, so no Luton £500 for me. Maybe a good thing. Met
Michelle
Orpe
& Rich Orford, & both promised to register for bB7. Great news!
Play the £500 at Luton tonight.
Was too late by the time the recording had finished. Today's "spare" Sky Shift has saved me £970 in Tourney Fees at Luton, (I could not play Monday's £200 + £200, as it was a 2 dayer, or tonight's £500) & earned me a nice fee - how can I complain?
Do last week's Sky blog.
I've been afflicted by lack of time, writers block, & a general malaise bought about by a minor health problem which has left me feeling distinctly second-hand. I had the same problem while in Edinburgh last year with APAT & Poker Week, so I know it's not anything dreadfully serious, but all the same, I feel crap. If it does not start to improve by the weekend, I guess I need to go to the Docs, & then Hossie, but I'm so anti-hypocondriac, I'd rather wait & see if nature will sort it our first. Clever thing, the body's defence mechanism.
Meet a business acquaintance in London at Noon tomorrow. (Wednesday).
Discuss possible blonde partnership with his "venture". Am staying in Luton all week (well, Monday thro Friday), so will jump a train in the morning down to London. The meet is in Tottenham Court Road.
Play the Wednesday £300 Omaha at Luton.
Somehow, I'm struggling to drum up my enthusiasm for live poker this week. I think it's the "Big Circuit" syndrome that I've sort of fallen out of love with, so much hate, aggression, backbiting, nipping, poor table behaviour, bad blood. But at least my addiction to Fessie Poker has been beaten, & that's a grand thing to have got control of.
Meet ITB at Luton one night this week to have a private chat.
In some ways, the most important meet of the week. A very awkward, & complex, situation. I suffer from the ability to see both sides of every argument or situation, & that makes it so much more difficult to rationalise some things. Easier to understand, harder to sort.
Play the GUKPT on Thursday.
My first GUKPT for over a year, & one I've been given the seat for, in return for "services rendered". I'm blessed, despite all the bad guys in poker, there are good guys, too.
Do complex e-Mail to business acquaintance re complex blonde business matters.
I got Richard (Prew) to help me with the reply to a very interesting but complex proposal. What a wonderful business partner he is.
Push on with organising the
Sky
Poker
2008/9 RoadShow.
So awkward, so challenging, so interesting, we have one single piece of the jigsaw to slot into place, then I can get properly started. I've selected all the Venues, put rough dates to them all, drawn up a generic specification for each venue, & I'm ready to go. Once that one piece is slotted in.....Everything "inter-depends" on so much.
Write to a bunch of special friends about various things.
I hate the thought of being so tied up in scurrying hither & thither that my old mates get "left behind".
Find an afternoon to "smell the roses".
I have done this in each of the last two weeks, spending lazy afternoons just chilling with close friends. I must try & sustain this, it's been so pleasurable.
Friday is a day off. Saturday, too, depending on how I do on Thursday.
I'm very pessimistic about my chances in Day 1a on Thursday, but I plan to try & enjoy this rare opportunity to the full.
Get Diary up to date.
Must reply to all the unanswered questions. My apologies for the delay, I feel bad about not replying, but the days just whizz past.

Thanks Steve. I won't be giving up anytime soon, but I'm just struggling the last few weeks with time & motivation to do anything, really. It'll pass, but for now, it's time to grit my teeth & "get the mood" back.
Now that the "Diary-Haters" have moved on, or gone quiet, the blonde Diaries - mine excepted - have blossomed, (have you seen Geo the Sarge's new one?) I'm so proud of them all. I really don't mind if nobody reads mine, or any of the Diaries, & they, the snipers, don't mind that I don't have the time or inclination to visit, say, the Staking Boards, or Betting Tips & Sports Discussion. Each to their own, live & let live. Just because I don't read or have much interest in, say, Staking Threads, is no reason for me to moan about them, or their authors. So I did find that "Diary-Hating" phase very difficult to understand.
I wonder how many folks realised that my very special friend, Red-Dog, stopped his Diary altogether for a few weeks, because, I assume, he did not want to put stuff on a Forum where the mood had become so toxic & acrid? And how did he mark his return to his Diary? With that magnificent "Rantor" story, the like of which I've never read before. And noiw he's flowing again, & bringing so much pleasure, to so many. Few realise how close he was to quitting blonde because of the atmo that developed. He won't thank me for revealing this (sorry Tom), but them's the facts. I think.
We, in poker, become so obsessed (me included) with Poker, & some of us become completely one-dimensional, & any convo has to include "so the flop came......". And that's just one reason why I love these blonde Diaries, we see another side of life, & they've absolutely "made" the Forum for me the last few months.
That, of course, is just my view, & I accept we are all different in taste & preference. But I'm happy for the guys in the front bedroom (Internet Poker), Kitchen (Live Poker), Drawing Room (Lounge), & so on, to do whatever floats their boat. It might not be for me, but they are having fun, so fine, leave them be. But I'll never understand why there was such vitriol & vicious side of the mouth comments towards those who write diaries.
Wow, where did that all come from?
Moving swiftly on......
