Last night i tried to deposit a little money into neteller for use on virgin for the team challenge, So i go to deposit using my debit card (£30) and transaction unsuccessful, tried 1 more time (£30 again) also unsuccessful,   Right get the live chat bird on the go and we find out my card is registered at a differant address than what there records show, So now i change it to the correct address and try again (£30 again) this time was successful  Happy days!  (waste of time as i couldn't deposit into virgin any way in the end)

But while checking my bank statement online last night i notice that 3 payments of £30 have been made to neteller (but only £30 showing in my neteller account)  So i get live chat on again and ask why the money was taken if the transaction was declined and all they told me was that neteller never recieved the funds and should be back in the bank soon.

Any one else experienced this? and why would the dosh leave the account? surely if declined no money should be exchanged?

Don't know but I've seen my Neteller statement showing as funds declined before but it has gone out previous.

To be honest, I'm happy not knowing how these things work providing I'm not done out of cash at any point.   I'd give it a day and see if it goes back before starting to worry.  These companies are all legit, I'm sure they know what they are doing.

it's a bank thing..the bank sees it as you authorised the transaction and therefore it could come out..and that's why it's not available to you...should be back in your account within 2 days though
