Since all the best series ended pretty much at the same time in the US and here, Heroes, Lost, House, Studio 60, Shark etc. i have looked for replacement fixes.
There are some cracking shows on at the moment that more than fill the void, i'd post links to IMDB but not sure if i'm allowed so you'll have to google the synopsis (sp?) yourselves, but trust me they are all very good.

Burn Notice (4 episodes of first series so far)
Traveller (it's been cancelled but the first series is still being aired up to 6 or 7 so far)
Dexter (coming to the UK very soon, first series has aired US way and a leaked first episode of the 2nd is out but it doesn't start properly till September)
Huff (2nd series is up to episode 7)
Brotherhood (first 2 of second series have aired)

A few hours worth there, have fun.

Cheers lfm. I'll look into these. My normal fix of series at this time doesn't seem to be around at the moment. I think normally Nip/Tuck and The shield are some of the summer series I usually download.
Although I'm not fussed with the Shield as the French were kind enough to screen it already Cheesy IMHO The Shield is by far and away the bast programmed on TV and can't wait to see how it all concludes in season 7 after a mediocre last ep in season 6 leaving a lot to be answered no doubt.

You mention Dexter, I watched the first ep on FX the other night and downloaded the whole first series the same night. Also there are screeners of eps 1 and 2 of season 2 out there if you can survive the wait until the next ones.

if i were to put them in order i'd go

burn notice
huff
dexter
traveler
brotherhood

burn notice and dexter are very similar photographicallywise, set in miami and with a naration, huff is all about characters, brilliant acting.
traveler is just different and brotherhood is 2 intermingled stories, not convinced it works but still good.

Preview of the new series of the Bionic Woman starring her off of Eastenders.

She certainly looks, ahem, well put together.

I liked it, the way it's put together is different to most shows so may not be to all tastes.
The whole storyline reminds me a little of the A team, highly trained wronged guys help out poor taken advantage of innocents.
Persevere it is worth watching the first couple.

I'll give it another go then. Might just have been that i expected another show - of the more serious tone. Hopefully Bruce Campell will get the show going for me Smiley
