Sweet! One of the best live bands of the 90s (and I saw most of em Blur, Oasis etc).

Made some great singles and still sound fresh today....

Have to agree, mate of mine was in a battle of bands type comp in leeds and Shed Seven were special guests and did a set ... they were shite, the worst band in the comp were better. and Rick Witter is an obnoxious peasant, well he was that day.

they had one good song 'standby'. I took a look at the webpage and cant believe how much the lead singer had changed, make that a lesson to you kev. hes lost so much weight he looks terrible..............................

Even 'standby' aint as good as i remeber so i would need to agree that they are terrible.

I liked shed 7 but they were very britpop and a bit of a joke to be honest. Like many bands from that era, they should accept that their time has passed and grow old gracefully.

My favourite shed 7 song was actually their last real hit "disco down",

Ah well I still love em....Kaiser Chiefs are basically the same and they having massive success now, plus they got more tunes than the massively overrated Arctic Monkeys.

Didn't spot your post there, yep, Disco Down was their best one from what I remember.

Pretty run of the mill ban though imo, nothing special. Reminded me of the Bluetones.

That's the song I was thinking of, I quite like it too.  Didn't think they were that bad.

That said, they were a band from my youth(ish), not sure I'm fussed about them reforming, but I'm happy to listen to some old classics

I wasn't a massive fan of Chasing Rainbows. Apart from Disco Down, this was probably their best song:

True. Try this one, it was one of their early songs, not sure too many people have heard it but it was pretty cool back then.
