He will probably be rembered for his Eastenders role of late, but he was a great stand up comedian and I used to love watching Runaround many years ago. Very sad news.

Apart from eastenders I remember him playing a comic role in minder as a hard man like terry who was strangely obsessed with fine dining and haute cuisine. He was very funny in that.

I too remember him from Runaround but whenever he came on telly my Nan would say ooo what a horrible man!! I think this had something to do with when he sacked her from her job as a barmaid at The Ruskin Arms in East Ham.
