Anyway I feel the way I run in poker has manifested itself into my teams fortunes.. drawing the hardest unseeded team Spartak Moscow.. But if we're good enough to reach the last 16 we're good enough to beat this lot? right?

Rangers tie will be harder than it looks. Crvena Zvezda were formerly known as Red Star Belgrade, and certainly no pushovers I'd imagine.
It seems all the British teams got tricky-ish ties but I hope they can all come through.

Would be a nice symmetry if Celtic get all the way through to the final in Moscow though  . I agree that all the British teams have the more difficult ties. Then again, if they can't beat these teams, they aren't going to beat the teams in that they'd have to face later on. |

Alonso, Carragher, Agger, Reina, Finnan, Crouch... yeah but they had the easy side of the draw both times really and the odd top team they played was under performing. and those guys are allright but not really top-class players...Maybe with some more investment and a new coach you'd get somewhere on merit instead of relying on luck. *wonders how long kin will keep responding to what is quite clearly a wind-up. |
