You can select the option to remain always logged on.  Obviously, not something you want to do if you're using a computer that is a shared resource though.

Glad I was of no assistance.

Quite frankly, it's a complete pain in the arse ( well more in the fingers really, due to the typing ! ) to have to log in just to view a post.

Who's damn silly idea was this, that's what I'd like to know. That person needs shooting....well, at least torturing a little !

Just set it to remember your password and log you in forever - I haven't had to log in for months and months.

I can imagine that it's a bit of an inconvenience for people who use a shared computer and can't stay logged in permanently.  There wasn't a 'silly idea' to make the forum behave as such, it was a side-effect to some necessary updates.  I'm sure it will be looked at once the other updates and changes have been completed.

Ahh, so it was a side effect of something that was necessary and not an intentional change. Well, in that case, I am willing to reduce the torturing to a slap on the wrist

I have always had it set at "forever", however since only recently I have had to log in fully to view any posts.

If this only works for some, then obv there is a problem somewhere down the line.

For some reason this doesn't work for me - the box is clicked and the user name stays there but not the password  (Lazy bitch or what lol)

It's probably due to your browser settings.  I guess you're using Internet Explorer?

I can tell you, as long as you promise not to torture me

We've added 3 new themes, although one of them is a reworking of the existing blonde theme to bring it up to the latest version of the forum software with a few small visual tweaks. This will replace the current default theme when

The other two themes are much lighter (one is white, the other is blue), and are there to give a bit of choice to the look of blonde.

My favourite is the blue theme, imaginatively titled "SMF Default Theme".

The themes are all installed and available now, we're just checking for any bugs that may have crept through the net before we start telling everyone

You can change your theme in your profile, it's in the "Look and Layout Preferences" section.
