What an arse.

Arguably the best league in the world?  Is it the most watched as well - I'd guess it is?

lol , seriously though , action needs to be taken about this , a vice president of a governing body showing blatant public bias is unacceptable.

" nobody likes England " - i know , but you shouldn't be saying that in public you fool.

he might lose his job over this

One of the most corrupt individuals in world sport....allegedly.

Also seems to be very anti-British as well.  He has been campaigning for years to have Britains historic FIFA vice-presidency scrapped.

He's entitled to his opinion, truth hurts. Maybe if so many English football fans hadn't been such morons over the years things would be different. England 2018? You can just see another embarrassing riot...

i wouldve thought we'd have scotlands backing.

you get thoses warm weather fronts and winds in the summer coming up from noth africa passing through England and up to Scotland giving you the great oppoutunity to smell some competitive international football.

back the bid, it's as close as you'll get to the world cup for 50 years

its just as cheap these days to go over to spain and watch the world cup and get a tan while we are at it
and there is a chance england wont be there

England 2018? You can just see another embarrassing riot...
Because Euro 96 was such a disaster?

Admitadly there were far too many incidents in Europe last year involving English clubs for one reason or another. Maybe rightly or wrongly this was partially the fault of the fans, partly the local police forces.
I am sure though that there would be minimal if any trouble if it was held in England, not least because it is the English Police foreign clubs go to to assist with security advice on major competitions due to the success they have had over here improving things.

No we are not perfect of course, but we would host a good safe event I reckon. Certainly no worse than any other country.

As others have said, what a prize plum he is. Surely he can not keep his job after speaking publicly with such negative bias against someone.

So this guy thinks that that the county that invented the game, is in the elite group of having won it's biggest prize, arguably houses the biggest domestic league in the world and subsequent to the 2012 olympic games will have a far supiror sporting infrastructure than any of our rivals has "never had any impact on the world of football" because our fans have acted moronic on occassion? lol ok then!

I think it's a bit more deep rooted than that!

You are right of course, it does seem rather more of a deep rooted prejudice. It is a shame, though, that he will actually receive support from many quarters because of the reputation some people have built up for this country on the continent. To put my point more tactfully Smiley.

This is an outrageous comment:

"Nobody in Europe likes England. England invented the sport but has never made any impact on world football."
