Paypal cannot be used on poker sites so not much use being "free"

If you register your bank account with neteller you can withdraw by bank transfer and the fee is £1.  Takes a few days but better than a cheque.

I've just cashed out from a poker site to my Neteller account (apparently this can take 24 - 48 hours).

Does anyone know what exchange rate (from $ to £) they use (or where I can find this information)...? My Neteller account is in £.

I've registered my bank account with Neteller, but if I withdraw to my bank account, am I charged a flat rate of £1 (as per danmonkey's post)? Or is a % taken...?

They dont post an exchange rate on their site but its usually quite resonable - i withdrew some money from my pokerstars account on sunday night, it arrived in my neteller account last night for me to withdraw by cheque. The rate i got was just under £1-$1.80 and as the actual rate on sunday night was £1-$1.755 i didnt think this was too bad (much cheaper than any bank or foreign exchange place would offer).

Every withdrawal i have made by cheque costs me £2, i believe it is cheaper to have it paid straight into your account but i didnt want to give them my bank details. The cheque normally only takes 48 hours to come in the post

The exchange rate for neteller is 1.9% below spot I believe and this obviously changes from day to day.  Its really not bad, I got about .554 £ per $ from neteller on Sunday - Natwest would offer me .538 today on my holiday cash.  They don't list it on their website, though you may be able to find out by ringing them direct.

And it is just £1 to withdraw direct to your bank account - see 'Withdrawal fees' on side of the page where you withdraw.

If anyone wants to save on charges (money management a key factor I am told)

Open an account with VC, then you can transfer your winnings from netteller into VC than out straight into your bank with no charges / cheques. VC normally pays out in 1 or 2 days.

Just get the Neteller Debit Card, then you can withdraw the cash from your neteller account at virtually ANY cash machine

No idea about charges

But I do know that the VC route works well with NO charges (I have used this method before)
