ROOM NOW TAKEN.

Hi,

I am playing APAT  Grin There were supposed to be 4 of us going, but there are 3 now, so I am left having a twin room for myself.

It's booked for Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th. The Thistle Hotel which is the closest hotel to the G Casino (same distance as days Inn). I only live in Leicester so I may end up cancelling it and just driving down on the day or just having it for 1 night (considering 2 at the moment, and it's booked for 2). I am playing Sunday but will probably come down on Saturday assuming I'm only paying for half the room.

Price is £65 / night per room, which is a little pricey for me on my lonesome, so if anyone wants to share and split it let me know. There is wi-fi in the hotel apparently (not sure if it's extra ££s). And it's bed and breakfast.

I'm a pretty heavy sleeper (ie you won't keep me awake), don't snore, don't smoke (not that you can I don't think anyway??) and may bring my scrabble board

If a mod wants to move this to live poker then so be it, I thought I'd give it a bit more airtime in general though.

Rich.

From what I heard when down there for the GUKPT, The Thistle is right by a clock that makes a ridiculous amount of noise at about 9am...

Sorry, I should have explained fully. There is a clock that goes off every 15 minutes, and it can be heard in The Thistle. Obviously...some people can sleep through it, others can't. Just thought I should pipe up for any blonde who's planning on staying there!

ok well i stayed at the thistle at luton the other day and had no problems, they sell earplugs in the vending machine on the 4th floor if you are awoken easily...but you should really be in a deep sleep at 9am if you are on a poker schedule Smiley

Yeah, I had been up since 9:50 actually!

I am installing a ring main upstairs in the new place, and as much as I wouldn't mind doing that at my usual hourse, I'm sure the neighbours would like to be sleeping then and not listening to my SDS drill chiselling away.

I'm on a tea break now btw. Still on dial-up, not managed to sort cable modem out yet.
