a good 6 mile run

That's not that so far from the truth!

Of course, there may be a serious reason but 'active exercise' really can help and laying bed make it worse.

If you belong to a gym seek advice there / ask your doctor first.

yuppie flu or to give it its proper name M.E. is a serious disabling condition which is often over looked by the meidcal profession as a mental illness

i would look into this if the symphtoms persist

Whenever i had muscle fatigue, I used to mix Poteen/Olive oil together and rub it in -- if you don't mind smelling like a cross of a brewery/chip shop it helped circulation. Queen of hearts is right excercise if you can but ask the doc first... However my pains were usually in the one place. Is it all over or localised Huh?

heat--- hot bath/hotwater bottle for specific areas
massage- full body +/- aromatherapy
relaxation- a tape- or just a class of wine chill in front of tv- not hunched in front of pc!

gentle exercise is fine- but would do this over the weekend.

Id take advice from GP.

Never do anything needlessly that could prolong/increase the condition.

Cannabis (weed) has many medicinal benefits i'm told. Arthritis sufferers swear bye it.

As the topic say's 'All suggestions welcomed'

If you've been unable to get out of bed in 2 weeks then I don't think you're going on holiday on Tuesday.

It is possible that, if you've essentially not used your muscles in 2 weeks, the inactivity could be a factor in itself - muscles tend to seize up and waste away if you're not using them. Do some stretches to loosen them up and then try walking about.

If this doesn't work then you'll have to wait for the next set of test results and get the wife to cancel the holiday.
