i know of the hilton and the marriot but i am not paying the £200-£350 a night they were wanting

so if anyone knows anything in the area that is a little more affordable can you please let me know

It depends on how close you're looking for (and whether they have any rooms at their cheaper rates when you need it) - but I've had a quick look at this site - http://london-hotels.hotels-london.co.uk/find.php

Initially I've come up with these -
http://london-hotels.hotels-london.co.uk/quality-crown-hotel-paddington.hotel
http://london-hotels.hotels-london.co.uk/park-plaza-sherlock-holmes.hotel
http://london-hotels.hotels-london.co.uk/the-mandeville.hotel

But you could try playing around with the advanced search and the locations to see if you can find anything else.

Just done a search.  What a load of crap in the results.  Sites that claim to provide listings of accessible hotels in London.  Shocking sites, and nothing substantial.  I can imagine it's a right pain in the arse.

Try Travelodge, they are very good value & usually wheelchair-accessible, as are Days Inn.

Don't worry about the TV, both Travelodge & Days Inn have them. Bring a big suitcase.

I stopped outside an Easy (Jet) Hotel the other day in Earls Court....it seemed to have a wheelchair lift outside. Rooms start at £25 it said !!!

A cab to the Vic would be about £15/20 oneway.
