last few days me and my son decided to go and get some new rods/reels/equipment.,., for Cyprus

£200 later,.,and we decide to try all the new sea fishing gear out,.,.,.going for carp.,,
Ive caught many fish over the years but never a carp,..,.,
captains log of events

1.Friday get up at 6am make a load of diffrent baits that we seen on tv/internet.,.,finall our rods are in the water for 9am,.,.,.,.,9pm caught fok all.

2.saturday get up for 7am sort gear out rods in water for 9.30am.,.8.30pm
caught fok all.

3.sunday day of out for lunch get p155ed coz we caught 0 fish...

4.monday up at 5am haves row with wife about going fishing with niall,.,.,.rods in water by 7am feeling realy confident now as somewon had recommended to microwave luncheon meat to make it float,.,.7pm caught fok all,

5.tuesday.,., up at 9am finally had enough of preparing food for the fish that we dont catch.,.,i thought b0ll0x to them all they can have is bread.,.,rods in water by 11am .,..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,................11.15am .,.,.,10lbs 9oz  .,,.common carp in the net,,.,.,.,.,.

you know the  funniest thing my boy said all along (aged 10) ?
was lets just try bread dad,.,.,,
(no  i answer we must be complicated and make them bollies and b0ll0x as these fish are crafty)
when i finally hooked it i said to my son come on love real it in,.,.,.you know what he said?
no,no,no,no we got to make sure we catch this one coz i know you will throw me in if i lose it.,.,I KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO YOU DAD ,.,.,.lol
he was over the moon,.,..we were going wednesday for the bigger one but i was late out celebrating tuesday night.,.,
but watch this space for thursday,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.

Sea fishing gear for carp? You like to make life hard don't you.

Carp seem to be buggers to catch, a friend of mine is "hooked" on carp fishing and goes into hiding for days on end. He takes a mobile with him but only turns it on to check in once a day, or less. He has a habit of missing world changing events, such as the 9/11, He comes out of seclusion and wonders what the hell has been happening. Then, after all these days, he will tell me how he nearly caught a fish.

I go fly fishing with him, for trout. It is rare we have a blank AND we get dinner. Although the local tackle shop owner calls fly fishers "fluff chuckers" I know what I would rather do.
