Beginning of 10k guaranteed. 3000 chips, third hand. Blinds 10/20. No notes on villain.

4 limpers, you're on cut off with AQ. Raise to 140. All fold apart from the one limper to your right.

Flop comes  two spades .

Villain checks. Pot is 370.

Question 1 - Check or bet and if you bet, how much and why?

You bet 250. Villain calls, though not insta-call.

Turn comes  three clubs. Villain checks.

Question 2 - Do you check or bet?

You bet 450 into the pot of 870. Villain min raises.

Question 3 - Call or fold?

Question 4 - If call, what are you hoping to see on the river? If it's an obvious blank can you call a shove?

ok. for starters you've made it really obvious what you have. so he's min raised for value with his set. the majority of the time anyway. i fold. for the record i think the preflop raise was abit ott. but thats kinda irrelevent as you're behind about 80% of the time here.

$30 freeze. Only played it once before, standard was very variable.

Kinda looks like 44. I'd give up this early, agree pfr was pointlessly big. AQo doesn't play very well here.

concisely.

Preflop raise too big imo, flop bet fine, turn bet- i would check to keep pot small, if bet-i fold to check raise without too much heartbreak.

If call hoping to see spade and bluff v strong opponent. But doing this <5% of time early on in $30 online mtt.

Check the turn for pot control and raise less pre flop.

I need to learn to control the pot size better than I do now, key failing. Interested that consensus is too much pre flop, I find that any less than that and I'll end up facing too many opponents when I'd rather get heads up with position. I'll try playing it a little differently in future. Ta very much all.
