My laptop finally gave up the ghost on me this morning and is dead as a dodo.  I'm currently at my mum's for a few days so have internet access here, but don't know when/how often I'll be able to get online from Wednesday depending on how long it takes to get fixed (it's still under warranty).  I think it's safe to say that's me out of the September team challenge Sad

doubt it - there's no power at all.  It's been playing up for a while - occassional blue screen of death, freezing now and again.  Was working fine last night, and I closed it before going to bed, then when I opened it up this morning - kapput - nothing Sad

My laptop went dead 3 months ago, after i spilt drink on it.
Sony have the worst service ever, and i have only just managed to get a new laptop yesterday.

It took them 2 months to decide whether it was repairable, then a month to sort out with insurance. Thought it was best not to get another Sony after appauling service and opted for a Toshiba, its all good so far

Thankfully, back online now, shiiip

I'll be heading back home this afternoon - going to see if I can get my old PC up and running, but if not I'll probably not be around until next week when I am back at work.  Going to take the lappy to PC World tomorrow and see what they have to say.  I'll miss you all!!!!

Hey,
i had the same trouble on Sunday evening.  Was in the middle of a $10 x 45 seater and was just about to 8 letf, 7 get paid and my laptop went off completely..  Tried all sorts but it would not come back on..  Eventually, noticed that the power lead had fallen out and it had just merely run out of battery..!!

Got it back on in time to continue and come 3rd I think..
