Force win time Wink

What's up with the laptop, can I help?

doubt it - there's no power at all.  It's been playing up for a while - occassional blue screen of death, freezing now and again.  Was working fine last night, and I closed it before going to bed, then when I opened it up this morning - kapput - nothing Sad

How long have you had it? When the blues screens started happening you should have returned it under warranty. Of course if it's still in warranty now, get it back there.

Try removing the battery and plugging the power lead in. Then press the power button and see if it comes to life. Also, is there a light on the AC adapter? Is there a light on the laptop when the AC adapter is plugged in (and no battery). It could be a faulty power pack. If you have a multimeter it's an easy test  Roll Eyes

well - i am gobsmacked.  taking the battery out and putting the power cable in seems to have done the trick - i tried it over the last couple of days with the power cable, but with the battery in too - so I don't know if taking the battery out has made a difference?  Anyhoo, at least I have the power!  I'll get the computer back to the shop anyway, because it's still playing me up.

spoke too soon again - it was just doing it's usual trick of taking forever to get going - a trip to PC world is still on the cards, but at least I'm not completely up shite creek

As it's only 9 months old, you want to be taking it back to PC world. Hopefully you'll get a replacement. If it was 14 months old, I'd be dishing out more suggestions, but it's not worth it if it has been paying up a lot anyway.
