Septembers Teams: Virgin Challenge
«

11 teams again, and here they are with a special form guide to the runners and riders:
1. The Dog Wardens
Form: Defending champions (just!) having played a masterful tactical game to come from behind on the last event. Anchored by RichEO, ballast from Shogun, class from Nakor. Next month we are going to play the games at midnight so that Duke is unconscious and unable to register.
RichEO
Duke
Shogun
Slim99Slim
Nakor
2. Team Silo
Form: Pipped at the post in August. Most consistent player is Ripple with occasional, very occasional, flashes of form from the Sheriff. They are the Everton of this competition, there or thereabouts, but ever so slightly boring to watch.
Silo Graham
Moskvich
Maldini
Ripple
Sheriff
3. Team Lever
Form: July champions led by the talismanic Colchester Kev, including the fearsome Skrikera and a pair of Chavs from Luton. Lost form in August, possibly connected to the extended absence of the excellent b4Matt
Colchester Kev
B4 Matt
Rookie itb
In the belly
Skrikera
4. Team Bluffer
Form: Bluffer himself anchors this very consistent team. One time leaders in August. Bluffer is the strongest performing blonde league player over a couple of years. Rest of the team contribute too. Leicester's finest technolog is a much improved player. Sharky has a spreadsheet to die for!
BlufferUK
technolog
chipchik
winalotfred
Sharky-uk
5. Team Unknowns
Form: What form? KingPoker is always playing with his (oval) balls and Andrew T has often been left to carry the hopes of his cohorts on his erudite shoulders.
AndrewT
Reenot
KingPoker
HoldorFold
No Flops Homer
6. LOL Modaments
Form. The team rejoiced! Kinboshi announced he was unavailable for September. Team threw up! the captain invited Ironside to take his place. Form suggests team is there to make up the numbers. Pretty accurate actually
Ginger
RobertHM
Ironside
TightEnd
Jizzem
7. The Shortbread Dookers
Form: Runners up in July, well in contention going into the final event in August and a sub for September, the King of Cash, totalise. However he replaces August's top individual player Bigfella. They are a wonderful bunch of people, truly excellent. There, will you promise not to play the song again now?
Madasahatstand
Brad Strider
B/F CousinKev
nezperce
totalise
8. Team Hardon
Form: Limper than a calling station in their inaugural month, truly dreadful. A team infused with class, form and lots of other things can only do better, surely? Perhaps the introduction of a man into the team this month will do the trick.....
Claw75
Withnail
Dingdell
Laxie
The Nun
9. Team officePoker
Form: Form?!??! GeotheSarge hasn't missed a draw for two months! Come from behind? runner-runner-runner? absolutely no problem Sarge!
Lets leave it at that, though I'm not bitter
Geo the Sarge
Apothecary
McColl
xxMairxx
Hammerheid
10. Four Jocks and a Rio
Form: A new team, and it will be interesting to see whether they settle at the back of the grid or swoop Lewis Hamilton like into contention. Only slower.
Eck
Lazaroonie
RioRodent
Teacake
ScottM
11. Fletcher's Arrows
Form: Began their first month well led by online poker stalwarts Porty and Pffa. Faded at the four furlong mark. Wardonkey is absent this month so there is a space, first come first served
Portfolio
Pffa
Nanetec
BrummieBoy
So there we are, the prize this month to the best player on the winning team is a seat into GUKPT London in October
May the best team win!
First event tomorrow night on blonde at 8pm
(note change of time)

Hi Tighty,
I'm not going to be able to play this month - I've informed the rest of the team - don't know if they've had any joy finding a replacement yet.

Factually incorrect -- I always register for the whole month in total sobriety (around 14:30 first Tuesday just in case)

No, he's wrong.
Levers are one hit wonders. Over aggressive and overly dependant on the lever.
Seriously, good luck all for September I've been rested for the month so will be railing the dookers when I can and doing my best to tilt Kev after that bridesmaid comment!!. I'm actually going out tomorrow night - yes outside!! First Tuesday out in ages.
